"We stayed for one night on our trek down the ring road. Check in was easy, and check out was as well. There is a small kitchenette for guests to use if you are prepping meals as you go. However there is no refrigerator so be prepared to make simple things. The room was clean and well set until for our stay. Be warned, noise travels through the walls very easily! Overall, this was a great option for us. It is very fairly priced, and well located. "

"South Iceland Guesthouse was a great stop for the price! Situated on a beautiful farm underneath the mountains, it was gorgeous scenery all around. Our room was very small but clean and beds were comfortable. The shared bathrooms were good sized and clean. The family restaurant across the street was delicious!"

"The guesthouse was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked. The dogs and cat on the property were friendly. The location was perfect to be able to see black sand beach at sunrise. I would recommend removing the carpet in the bedroom. A complimentary breakfast would be appreciated. "

"Every bedroom came with clean sheets and towels; every bedroom had it's own bathroom/shower. There was a common dining area and kitchen, and we were welcome to use any of the kitchen equipment to prepare other meals outside the complimentary breakfast. Coffee was strong and proper. The location was out in farm country, very picturesque. Enjoy walking along the fencing and see the sheep and horses graze. Just be aware once you get off the main highway, the road is completely composed of gravel...

"Got this on short term for one overnight, everything worked, good WiFi. Note that there is another guesthouse with similar name some hundred metres behind."

"DO NOT BOOK HERE! They don't care if the weather closes the roads and you can't get there, it's your problem and they don't refund you even though it's out of your control. "

"No one was there when we arrived but we soon found out that they were over booked and we we put up in a nearby hotel that was of a much poorer quality for the same price. I have read other reviews saying that when they arrived they found out that the hotel was overbooked too so this might be a policy of theirs. Nice enough place otherwise but I would not recommend."

"This was a guesthouse where we were greeted by the owner as we drove up. She showed us our room, which was clean and comfortable. She also made wonderful pancakes for breakfast for everyone, it felt like a family meal. I would recommend to anyone wanting something other than the sterile hotel room experience. "
