Firstly whilst on our arrival the pool side furniture was out and we were told we were welcome to use it, by the Monday, the loungers had been put away and the table and chairs covered. "This is a lovely old house with many original features which has been restored and modernised without losing any of its charm or character. The owner lives next door and is very welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive. We found the house spacious, well equipped, comfortable and very nice and warm during a chilly week in early April. Outside there are lots of different sheltered and shady seating areas and the garden is fantastic for easter egg hunts! Surrounded by quiet roads and flat rolling...

"Our stay at Bois Mort exceeded all expectations and Maison Maurice was the perfect place for a much-needed lazy holiday, surrounded by farmland and wildflower meadows. We loved the charming little house equipped with everything we needed, with two private terraces and easy access to the amazing new pool. "This is an excellent property. The only problem was locating Bois Mort from Gorges. The location appears to be not Garmin GPS friendly. But this was quickly remedied by the owner. This is a delightful spot. We spent six pleasant nights. Many Loire sights easily reachable in day trips. Very relaxing place to return to and host Richard charming, helpful and a very good cook. We would highly recommend this spotless, expertly restored historic property for a Loire region stay."

"Nice clean spacious studio. Had everything we needed, even a tassimo machine! Wonderful warm pool to swim, I was lucky to have it to myself. Owner didn’t speak English and my French is poor so she translated with her phone. Excellent place and would return."

"Beau parc de loisir très calme et bien intégré dans une forêt de pins. Les cottages sont confortables, ils disposent de tout ce qu’il faut, sauf la clim. Comme tous les CenterParc, c’est un paradis pour les enfants. Le nom du parc n’est pas usurpé, des daims en liberté parcourent les espaces entre les cottages en broutant. Craintifs, ils ne se laissent pas approcher à moins de trois mètres. Les cottages sont des cubes accolés les uns aux autres, et ne sont pas très beaux. Ils sont trop visibles...

"Myself and my family have just returned from our ten day summer holiday at Barbara’s wonderful quaint property. Barbara was more than accommodating from the moment we arrived to the second we departed, a truly fantastic host! The large garden and pool had our 4 year old in his element the entire holiday enabling Mum and Dad plenty of relaxing time to reset. Thank you Barbara again!
