The historic Gallatin City Hotel is one of the oldest standing hotels in Montana at 148 years old. The hotel is just one of three structures remaining of Gallatin City in what is now Missouri Headwaters State Park. The original city was abandoned when the steamboats stopped coming up the Missouri River from Fort Benton.

"Beautiful place to stay for the weekend! We ended up with the whole cabin to ourselves and it was so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful drive, well worth the distance from Bozeman, with tons of wildlife to see and photograph! The staff were friendly and helpful as well!"

"Incredible house with massive deck and backyard! Location is perfect if you’re looking to stay outside of Bozeman but close enough to everything. Easy access to YellowStone, Big Sky and downtown Bozeman but off the grid enough to enjoy peace and quiet in the mountains. "

"We’ve stayed in Wendy and Dave’s cabin in 2021, 2023 and June 2025. The cabin has million dollar views of the Bridgers, and is conveniently situated. It is well-stocked with spices, paper goods, toiletries. Don’t go shopping until you check what is there! We completely enjoyed our stay and relaxing after fishing or hiking. "
