THE RIVER The Main Fork Kaweah River is beautiful all year round. Like all natural rivers, the Rivers has high seasons and low. In the spring and early summer, it is high and fast moving. As summer wanes, the river slows and lowers but never completely dies up. We are fortunate to have water year round so you will always enjoy the soothing sounds of the river. Children must be chaperone at all times, especially near the river. Please be cautious of current, especially during winter and early spring.
AROUND:: The Sequoias and surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains are some of the best that California has to offer. Centrally located, the house is about twenty minutes drive to the main entrance to Sequoia National Park station and both Slick Rock recreation areas and King’s Canyon National Park, and just a 10 minutes from Three Rivers town restaurants and shops. A nature lovers paradise, there are plenty of areas to hike, bike, fish, and swim; and during the summer months, world-class white-water rafting and kayaking. Lake Kaweah, surrounded by the golden hills of California’s lower Sierra Nevada mountains, is just five miles downstream and a hot spot for boating and fishing.

Charming property and great location for exploring the national park. Great communication and check in process. The kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking but there is plenty of space for a family of 5-6. Great river side backyard without a ton of river noise. Bring your own coffee setup if you're a serious coffee drinker but otherwise amenities are well appointed.

Beautiful place to stay, if you have Family of 4or more best place
You can’t beat this location if you are going to Sequoia National Park. Our kids loved the game room, and my husband and I loved the river! Perfect resting spot after a day of adventures.
Fabulous location 1 mile from Sequoia National Park entrance on a river where we relaxed for hours, nearby restaurants and supply stores. Also enjoyed all the games.
My family had such a great stay at this house. The owner was extremely communicative and responsive. The house was a great location from the National Park and my family really enjoyed coming back after a long day in the park. The games were a hit by the kids and the house had everything in order to make a good meal after eating out for so many days.
The property is delightful. The deck outback watching the river is really great. The owner sent us a lot of email links to different things you can do in the area and was super helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
The house is perfect, clean and with everything you need if you want to spend some days surrounded by nature. It has beautiful views and a private beach to the river just below the house, super relaxing! It is super refreshing to swim and play with the kids too! Lots of things to do!! Billar, barbecue, arcades, ping pong and restaurants a couple of minutes away :D The sequoia national park entrance is only half a mile away too! The owners are really nice and attentive people. They give lots of useful and detailed information.
Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to everyone!!!!!
The property manager and the cleaning contact were instantly responsive and so helpful. They went above and beyond. The place was clean and had all the items it advertised. It was the perfect place for our family vacation. Our kids were just old enough (youngest 8), that they followed our direction not to go to the river on their own. If you have younger kids that might go out on their own, that is something you would want to consider. Would definitely stay there again!
We visited for three nights to go to Sequoia National Park & Kings Canyon National Park.
This house is a few minutes from Sequoia entrance. Once you enter the park, you have approx a 45 min drive up the mountainside to get to the popular park sites. The kids enjoyed the duck and Simpsons video game inside. This listing is for half of a house. The other half is a separate listing. There is a shared washer/dryer that can be accessed by both sides of the house through the backyard. There were guests on the other side while we were there and it did not bother us. We only saw their car. Did not see or hear them.
If I close my eyes, I can still hear the rushing river as it threads its way through the massive boulders creating that magical sound that stays with you for a lifetime.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This adorable retro house is SO close that our adult kids could WALK to the hiking trails just within the National Park.
Also, you can walk to the nearby Lodge/ restaurant which is important because parking can be hard to find.
But it is the outdoor space at this house that I love the most. Large deck overlooking the river and access to the beach below – put your feet right in that water or swim if you are so inclined.
Every minute I was not on the hiking trail or looking at the trees – I was on that back deck soaking in nature. Overhead all sorts of birds flew by – the sound of the river, the smell of mountain air- PERFECT to relax. I spent a good part of the day in the hammock.
The house is roomy – ALL the bedrooms are a good size. I love the retro look – they have a game room which is amazing for after dark, when you are tired from hiking all day.
The manager was awesome, everything was smooth – easy and she gave us lots of very useful information.
I highly recommend it for a fun stay at a great location.
This retro house was perfect for our visit to the Sequoia National Park. The kids loved all the games and we loved the view of the river from the spacious deck. The host was extremely responsive and even provided restaurant recommendations nearby. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone planning a visit the Sequoia National park.
Doesn’t get any closer to Sequoia National Park than this. Great view and great location. House is clean with plenty of room. AC units are a bit loud but even in the heat of summer it’s possible to cool bedrooms to allow the units to be turned off for the night.
This home is definitely retro (some items frankly just old). That said it's a fun home and great for families. The location is scenic and extremely convenient, 2 minutes from Sequoia entry. The checking information and communication ahead of time regarding attractions, local shops/stores was extremely helpful. The check-in/checkout process was easy and the host was very responsive and insured we had everything we needed for our stay.
Great location about a mile from Sequoia with a beautiful outdoor living space on the river as well as very fun retro decor on the interior! Beware of rodents etc though given proximity to the Sierras here. Unfortunately awoke to mouse droppings all over the kitchen table despite minimal in and out time at the home!! Owner quickly responsive and we also had a nice text from the house cleaner upon initial arrival. Overall a great stay, but be very mindful of limiting entry/exit time to keep pests out!!!
Unfortunately, we didn’t realize when we booked the property, that the property was a duplex. We also didn’t realize the washer and dryer would be shared and located outside our unit. Ugh. Comfortable for short stays. Dated but retro nice. Water pressure is low and water temperature changes in the back shower kept you on your toes. Quick response from property management! Construction happening right next door. Beautiful views. Having the stream out your back door was awesome. All in All, must stay for convenience!!
