From the main floor, look out onto the surf-facing front patio and up to the large roof-deck terrace offering unobstructed/spectacular ocean/surf/sunset views. Located off the back row, you will enjoy a serene stay, free of dust and road noise.

We loved this spot!

This home was great! So clean and well outfitted with everything we could have needed. It was a short walk to both the beach and the pool, and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The roof deck was beautiful, and the views of the ocean from the open kitchen/dining/living room made it truly feel like vacation. The beds were all really comfortable and we loved having the rooms on different levels. Thank you Brian for being so helpful and quick to respond - 10 out of 10 - we would absolutely stay here again!

Best gaviotas house ever!

We took a girls trip down for my birthday and this house was PERFECT. This is by far the best Gaviotas house I've rented and I would highly recommend it! Amazing views, super clean, and a short walk to the surf break, beach, and pool! The house was incredibly helpful and responsible, as well. We really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to be back!

Thanksgiving 2023

We had a lovely time at this beautiful 3bdrm! It was perfect w/our family of 4 and excellent location to chill and watch surf! The rooms were all comfortable & loved the location! My family is already talking about booking for another holiday soon or just a fun getaway for the Wknd! The host was very accommodating & made our stay even better!

Great Stay

My husband, and I, and two teen sons stayed at Villa #70 in Las Gaviostas. We had the best time and can't wait to come back next year. We loved the villa! It was clean and has an open roomy floor plan. We enjoyed the split level with the bedrooms on different levels. We also enjoyed the roof top deck. Ocean views from every window. My boys surf and the private beach and great surf break right in front the the villa did not disappoint. We will definitely be back.

Great Getaway!

We come down to Las Gaviotas Annually. This was a great place to stay and met all the needs of my family. The unique layout of the home was fun for my family to stay in. The rooftop area was fantastic as there were less obstructed views of the beatiful ocean. The Bathrooms and Bedrooms/ linens were all very clean The Kitchen has a great Island .There are fun mexican tiles throughout the home giving it tons of Character. The kitchen had all the essentials needed to cook/ etc. Make sure to get a copy of the Entry form for Las Gaviotas prior to your stay as although there are new procedures, The guards at the front seem to prefer a printed hard copy of the Entry form.. Not on your cell phone. We would enjoy another visit to Las Gaviotas and would stay in this home again anytime. Thank you to the homeowners for sharing their Great Getaway!

Great getaway with amazing view!

Loved staying at Brian’s place! The unit has a lot of character and feels like a real home. Amazing view from the deck and roof. Easy access to the beach. Will definitely come back!

A slice of heaven in Baja

Was a perfect weekend in a perfect house in a fabulous location. We love Las Gaviotas and the extra special touch of the roof top deck with gas fire pit made happy hour and sunset even better. Brian was super responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Too Hot

This particular unit should have central air or split system due to the fact the heat comes up off the unit below. Fans were just not helpful because of the roof in front of us!

Great place to relax and unwind - 11/10 would recommend

We were pleasantly surprised because the property is roomier than the photos suggest. We stayed for 5 days with our two older teens, and had enough space to spread out and relax. This house is a quirky old Spanish-style tri-level home, with tile and stone floors, Mexican tiles and both a balcony and roof-top deck. It feels shaded and cool inside, while the bright sun shines out over the balcony and deck. The master bedroom is spacious, and has an unusual tiled bathroom with steps leading up into the room and steps into the shower. *One thing to note is that this bathroom has a low lintel in the doorway that reduces headroom. It didn't bother me at 5'2" but the hubbs (6'2") banged his head on it so many times. So many. I almost wanted to hang streamers on it to remind him. The other 2 guest bedrooms are smaller but comfortable, and share another tiled bathroom with steps leading up. The kitchen & family room area has plenty of seating, and is well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and more than enough plates/bowls/cups, and cutlery to cook and feed a family without running out of anything. The kitchen and family room have a view of the ocean through the wall of glass and slider, leading to the small balcony which has a BBQ, patio seating for 2, and bar-height seating for 2, and a lovely view of the ocean. Spiral stairs lead to a large rooftop patio with expansive 360* views of the ocean, and plenty of places to sit and relax - a patio dining table, 2 chaise lounges, and a sofa with a firepit. We all enjoyed morning coffee and evening meals up-top, as well as the firepit while watching the stars at night. Brian (the host) is really good at responding to questions quickly and had good suggestions. Overall, this house felt relaxed and comfortable, with plenty of spaces to spread out and chill, or come together and hang. It was less than 5 mins down to the beach, the pool, and the walkway. On the weekend, F-Sun, the pool hosted 2 taco stands with made to order tacos, ceviche, salsa, etc. The paths leading down to the beach are picturesque, with lots of lovely plantings, pottery, archways, tiled entrances and stairways to admire. Its a lovely spot with nothing to do but swim, surf, fish, eat, and relax. I'd for sure stay here again, and 100* recommend it.

A Baja home away from home

Las Gaviotas is a great way for US families to experience Baja. Close to Rosarito, Ruta de Vino, and great beaches. The community has a private beach, swimming pool, and tennis court. The house we stayed at was very comfortable and stocked with all the essentials for a weeklong stay. We were able to cook many meals and the kids had access to WiFi. Brian the owner was very responsive and helpful in the beginning of our stay. We would stay there again.

Great stay

I've stayed at Gaviotas many times. My girlfriend and I stayed Sept. 16-21, 2019. The location is great, on the east side of the neighborhood, a quick walk to the beach and pool. The house has everything you need. The roof deck with fireplace is the ultimate. Unbeatable view and ambiance up there The layout of the kichen/den/dining room is great. There are a few steps going up to the master BR and bath and some going down to the other 2 BRs and bath. Brian responded promptly to me prior to our stay. No need to get in touch with him during our stay. We had a great time. One thing it needs is a new screen door. However, I have no complaints, highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again.

The Pictures cannot portray how beautiful this place is.

The house is gorgeous! It was more than enough room for my family and my boys had tons of room to play. Everything was clean and we had all the conveniences of home but with an amazing view. The owner communicated exceptionally well with us about any and all questions that we had. The entire trip was phenomenal because we had no worries at all about the house and our stay. The owner also gives really great information through email about checking in and leaving Mexico. I highly recommend coming here for a stress free time.

Nice place

We liked staying at this location. It was comfortable. The location for surfers is great, you can see the line-up from the roof top deck. I would stay here again (BBQ, roof top deck with fire pit, cable tv, safe, good location). The only minus was the lack of kitchen supplies. There needs to by more pots/pans, just more cooking supplies. Over all a nice place to stay and relax.

Great stay, beautiful rooftop view! **Photos/info need updating

I had booked this place months prior (for 3 couples) based on it's high ratings and photos. What I failed to do (which I normally do and recommend everyone doing!!) was read the reviews, particularly the last one. I was surprised to find the 3rd BR had 2 twin beds - not 1 double with 2 bunks as listed. The living room furniture is also different than what is pictured. The home was clean and tidy upon entering, however Brian needs to address some major things with his cleaning people. 2nd bathroom had no towels out - we had to go search for them, many of which were stained. One of the towels in the master bath was dirty. There was no toiler paper in the 2nd bath, a 1/2 roll in the master and no other extra rolls stocked. Only 1 paper towel roll, 1 trash bag and 1 dish towel. When I pulled out a mug from the cupboard, it was dirty and there were dishes still left in the dishwasher. The kitchen sponge was used/dirty as well. All the glass wines were dusty - it looked as though that kitchen hutch shelf hadn't been dusted off in months. And don't expect to find much in the kitchen especially if you plan on doing any cooking - refer to the last review. Lastly, they supplied more plastic/kiddie dishware than actual plates/bowls. My husband and I come to Las Gaviotas pretty regularly & often speak highly of the different homes we've stayed in. We were a little embarrassed as we had brought guests down that have never been here before. Nonetheless, the place really was great and Brian is very responsive with communication. We especially loved hanging out on the rooftop - the view is amazing! The 6 of us had a fantastic time at the wineries in Valle de Guadalupe, eating lobster at Puerto Nuevo and having the best pizza dinner at Ollie's!! We really did enjoy our stay, thank you Brian. Hope this feedback helps with making some improvements for future guests. And yes, we would certainly come back and stay here again...perhaps after our next stay, I will come back with a 5 star review!

Comfy home in Baja

We've stayed at several properties in Las Gaviotas over the years. In comparison to the others, this home was about average for what you'd expect to get in Las Gaviotas. It has been kept up nicely, but isn't renovated at all. We feel the price was fair and affordable for the location. The owners need to update the photos of the home though. One of the downstairs bedrooms now has 2 twin beds with cute bedspreads, not a kid themed room with a bunkbed and full size bed as shown in the photo. The living room furniture and layout is also different than the photos. It's an L-shaped sectional now, in leather and wood with toss pillows for back support. There is also a really nice wood coffee table. The Pros: The home was decently clean and has a lot of the Mexican charm we like in a Gaviotas home. It has the original tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen, the wood ceilings, brick, etc. The beds and furniture were all comfortable and clean. The rooftop deck was the highlight of the home. Being that the home is set back on the 2nd to last row, the view of the surf break from the living room balcony isn't the best. But if you go up to the roof, the view is great. If it's windy outside you can still sit on the on the rooftop deck and be comfy. The Cons: Our only real disappointment regarding this home was in the kitchen. We like to cook some of our meals while on vacation and this house is not set up for people who like to cook. Many of the usual items you'd expect to find in a kitchen just weren't there. For example, just to name a couple: a rubber scraper/spatula, cookie sheet, big bowl, etc. I kept saying to my husband, "I can't believe they don't have _________!" There was one dishtowel in the drawer and only a 1/2 full roll of paper towels at the house. There were no plastic baggies, plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the drawers either. I don't always expect those at rentals, but it would be nice to have some. So, if you feel like you'll need them, bring your own or be prepared to go to the Calimex grocery store in Puerto Nuevo. The only other CON was the next door neighbor to the right of the house. Watch out for that old guy! From the moment we arrived he was asking us to be quiet, even when we weren't making any noise. He asked us to turn off our music when we weren't playing any. He said my 46 yr old sister and her 13 yr old son we too noisy when they were doing a puzzle on the dining room table inside the house! We would stay here again.
