"My husband and I traveled from San Diego, California, to visit my family in Shawano over Memorial Day weekend. We normally book a different property on the lake, but it was occupied during our expected stay, so we took a chance on this property and were pleasantly surprised! Our hosts were absolutely wonderful: friendly, highly communicative, and proactive in fixing an issue at the property on our very first day. We enjoyed the updated interior of the home, the backyard view of the lake, and many included amenities (such as kayaks and paddle boards). After our stay, we communicated a few issues we noticed at the property and the hosts were gracious and responsive to fixing them for future guests. If the property is available during our next visit to Shawano, we will most certainly book again! So glad we found our new favorite place!"

"I liked this quaint hotel. I would stay again for sure. It’s clean and every one of the staff are friendly. The attached restaurant, El Jefe, is excellent! The menu is Mexican, but with a unique take. I highly suggest you have a meal there while in Shawano. "

"Clean and comfortable. I had a handicapped room and it really was set up well. 2 suggestions ---a chair with arms that doesn't roll/wheels and something on the bathroom door so it doesn't open so wide to make it easier to close. REALLY GREAT COFFFEE!!!! Nice breakfast too."

"We had a bit of trouble getting into the home at first, but Justin was gracious and helpful. The place looked much like the photos. While there were more personal belongings than we’re used to in a rental, it was clean, well-kept, and well-equipped for a longer stay.The house isn’t particularly stylish, but it was comfortable… especially the king bed! It’s in a very quiet neighborhood with a mix of single-family homes and mobile homes. We met friendly neighbors and enjoyed some beautiful walks with our dog.The location is great for the cost: a short walk to the Loon Lake boat launch, a quick drive to Shawano County Park, about 15 minutes to downtown Shawano, and roughly a 20-minute walk to the golf course, which has a restaurant. Overall, it was a great value and priced lower than most other rentals in the area."
