"Hotel was in a good location central Manchester but was very quiet for being in a busy area. Beds were made every day but dirty cups and glasses not removed and tea, coffee, milk not replenished. Overall decent experience would stay again."

"We stayed at The Alan for a night in May to attend a concert in the Coop Arena. The hotel itself was beautiful, very modern and we had lovely big room with all the amenities we needed. However, there was a constant tapping and hissing sound from the exposed ventilation system in the room which is part of the theme of the hotel from what we could tell. It was so loud we struggled at night and after initially thinking there was a problem we spoke with the night receptionist who kindly provided...

"The staff we met were all lovely, in particular Abbie on the desk who checked us in and when she saw us asked about our day which was so nice. The hotel was smaller than described and I think Malmaison need to look at the space for the toilet as you can barely close the door as it’s such a small space! No issues with the breakfast or selection of cold food. We had a lovely full English and it was excellent. "

"In first arrival we had a couple of issues with the room having not been properly cleaned and one of the TVs wouldn’t connect to the internet. The reception team were amazing at trying to address the issues and eventually moved us to a different room (as they were unable to resolve the TV issue). On arrival at the second room (which was in much better condition) we could see some other items were obviously not right / missing from the first room - presumably where they had been broken or...

"Have stayed here quite a few times - every time I come up to visit my family in fact. Always clean, tidy. Comfortable large bed. Nice touches like good quality coffee and tea, free bottles of water, nice biscuits. Well maintained - overall a very pleasant place to stay"
