"The apartment was nicely renovated and had air conditioning. The apartment blocks are split over two areas, so didn’t really get the holiday feel quite as much. The pool area is quite compact and whilst we never had an issue getting a sunbed they were all very close together and not very comfortable. "A fabulous stay. Resort spotless, beautiful kept grounds and peaceful and quiet. Taxi rank outside for convenience. Staff attentive and nothing is a problem for them. The biggest compliment is the food at the restaurant ate there every night and everything I had off the menu was superb. Spoke to other guests who couldn't believe how nice the food was. "We really liked our two weeks at the hotel. my wife and I. I was however more than slightly unhappy by the lack of heating in the pools, which I reported through Expedia as well as not being offered a VIP upgrade or a few hours late checkout. The hotel guest services came back to me within hours and while it didn't make the pools warmer it did make us feel hugely better. Part of the remedy included the later checkout. I have to say the hotel restaurants have a have fantastically extensive menus with dishes which are genuinely fresh and well prepared. With staff who were always polite and flawless in their services. Added to which the hotel IT system clearly worked very well as the staff at a restaurant or bar would ask how was such a thing we had asked about relating to our minibar for example. It made us feel that what we said mattered and was being taken seriously. The other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel offers a really extensive range of activities which you need to log onto the app to know about. These including but not limited to, shooting, archery, cooking, mixing drinks, tennis. The list really is long. This was the first time we have stayed at a Secrets hotel, and we think it may not be our last. I would certainly recommend the Lanzarote Secrets."

"Great first impression, lobby is beautifully presented and smells lovely, check in nice and relaxed with seats and drinks! Room was fantastic, very spacious, great sea view (especially at sunrise!), comfy and large bed, clever and well thought out controls. Breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, lots of options every night with different themes giving plenty of variety, and always some plain options for picky eaters Pool and bar/grill area was great, with more tasty food and gorgeous views over the beach. Hydrothermal circuit in the spa was lovely and relaxing, we particularly liked the recommended order to help those less experienced get the most benefit, and the pool had so many different features that gave massage-like experiences. All staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and spoke good english"
