"Unfortunately the grounds that we overlooked had been ripped up. Perhpas the property could have mentioned this when we booked...Parking was fine, as were the public spaces and the room."

The toilet is inconveniently located right behind the bathroom door and very close to the heating pipes. There were no tissues. There was no coffee or hot water in the rooms for drinks and there was no takeaway coffee in the morning."

When we arrived, the room had a half-drunk bottle of water left in it and the toilet seal had been ripped open. They fixed it, which is fine. But then we discovered that all the spa facilities — which were nice, except for the pretty but lukewarm "hot" tub — cost an extra 10 euros per day. Towels were 4 euros. Our room had a kitchen, apparently, but it was locked; you could access it with a deposit for 2.50 euros a day. And the rooftop pool that sold us on the place was closed for the season. So much nickel-and-diming. Not interested in staying there again."
