The cottage was cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were simply breathtaking - the cottage was nestled among towering trees, and the sounds of nature were the only ones we heard during our stay. We spent our rainy days enjoying my daughter’s dance showcase, hiking through the beautiful trails of Cook Forest, exploring, and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. "Expedia screwed up our check in. I'll never use exprdia again. Thank God the hotel staff new exactly how to fix the issue because it happens so often. The screw up could've ruined our trip because there is no other hotel within 40 miles of this location. "

"We were looking for a quiet location, close enough to civilization, yet far enough away from the noise. This is it. An enjoyable Friday through Monday stay. Clean and well kept, as well as well appointed. The hosts are fantastic, and the hiking was grand. The library of books is wonderful, and the selection of videos is eclectic. "We just cannot say enough about this amazing property, from the gorgeous and spacious home, to the peaceful and beautiful surrounding property. Everyone in our family, ages 6-88, said this was the perfect vacation. The host took so much time to pay attention to detail and it was greatly appreciated - from the stocked kitchen, to the huge dining tables inside and out, to providing firewood, to the well marked trails. We had such a relaxing week and fully enjoyed the outdoors, especially the back porch! It was a week of creating amazing memories. It is the most comfortable and roomy VRBO we have stayed in over the past 15 years, and something our family is looking forward to doing again!"
