"Hotel a 3 km de la ville, assez éloigné sans service a proximité. Safari trés cher. J'avais résérvé une chambre mais a mon arrivée il n'y en avait pas alors on m'a proposé le dortoir au meme tarif se que j'ai refusé et aprés discussion j'ai obtenu une tente-chambre. Trés bien dans la grosse savane mais prés de la grande route pas nécessaire du tout. Personnel serviable mais on sans que l'argent et le but premier du centre. "

"This is a tiny gem, don't expect any luxuries but it is well worth a stay if you are in the Yala area for a safari. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and accomodate your every need. Special thanks to Pravin, he is just seventeen at the time I'm writing this, speaks just a little english but was smart enough to whip out the translate app on his phone and we had fun communcating back and forth on that!"

"This hotel is located just in front of the entrance of Bundala national park. I really enjoyed early morning safari which they recommended. They provided me an upgraded room, and free dinner. That was so surprising. And I could see an elephant from the balcony at night. I hope to come back with friends in top season because they told me that we can camp in the national park with reasonable price."

Jetwing Yala

"Once again I was very happy with the Jetwing brand’s seemingly unique capability to perfectly blend a rustic ambiance with modern comforts. Jetwing Yala is a beautiful oceanfront property that serves travelers exploring the Yala National Park. The road up to the hotel immediately emphasizes that you are in a jungle with its unpaved dirt road that leads to the parking area where the most friendly staff help unload bags and facilitate the check in process. The staff made us feel right at home as soon as we entered the modern open concept lobby with is indoor outdoor design. They also helped with arranging the safari ride into the park. The room was very comfortable with a balcony with an ocean view and a bathroom that boasted a shower with an ocean view. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious with both European options and traditional Sri Lankan fair. The dinner buffet also had many options especially for dessert. The infinity pool was a definite highlight with its expansive footprint and beautiful blue water. There pool area also offered entertainment in the form of families of monkeys that roam around the outskirts of the property. There is also a poolside bar and the South frog is a must have after a swim. The spa was also a wonderful experience and they even have a superstar massage for kids which my 10 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed. All in all, we had a really great time at Jetwing Yala."

"I had a wonderful stay. The surroundings are beautiful, with palm trees and a lake right in front of the room. It is the most beautiful location I have experienced so far in Sri Lanka. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. They took me for a walk to the lake, organized a safari for me, and arranged a reliable driver at a very reasonable price. Everything was perfectly organized. The food was excellent. The curry was the best I have had in Sri Lanka, and the fresh breakfast was delicious. The room and bathroom are in a private little bungalow. Everything was spacious, spotless, modern, and very well maintained. The room had air conditioning, complimentary drinking water, shampoo, and a wide selection of toiletries. I highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again."

"Literally a paradise, the view from the room or actually anywhere in the hotel is amazing. Great food, good gym and pool. Very relaxing, since you can hear the ocean 24/7. Location is amazing cause it’s very convenient to the national Park. If you are doing a safari it’s a great option, it makes everything way easier. The room, was recently renovated and it was perfect. Very comfortable and luxurious. This place has some extra magic with elephants occasionally roaming the property. And every staff member being super friendly going above and beyond making sure you have the best time. Already planning to come back."

"My parents were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and although we celebrated a little late, they had such a wonderful experience. Quoting my dad “The birthday arrangement was beautiful, the cake was lovely, and the famous DoubleTree cookie was the best. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both excellent, and the amenities were exceptional.” What really stood out to them was the warmth and attention to detail throughout their stay. My mum still can’t stop complimenting the food; my parents have travelled all around Sri Lanka and tried many different cuisines, so coming from them, that is actually really huge to hear! Next time I’m in Lanka, I already know where my first stop will be. 10/10 for such a great stay!"

"We stayed here for a few days to go to Yala National Park and Hotel Elephant Eye was a great location for taking a SAFARI Tour. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very hardworking. The property is very well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Easy walk or Tuk tuk to town for restaurants and grocery stores."
