"This place is everything we imagined and more. My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. We wanted a quiet weekend away from the city and kids. I was looking for a place to fish, watch birds and enjoy the peace. Without a doubt, this cottage checked every box. We arrived to the most pleasant and sweet host dropping off fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the front yard, homemade jelly, and some biscuits. The only photos don’t even do this place justice. the flower bed out front is gorgeous, the house feels and looks like I just got to my grandmas house for the weekend. The tall trees, peaceful water and welcoming wild life was everything we imagined. The beds were amazing, the house was stocked with everything we needed. We caught SO many fish. I caught a large catfish, biggest catch of the weekend which I will continue to rub in my husbands face. The bass were biting like crazy and my husband loved every second. We enjoyed early canoe rides and I even went out myself in the evening just to enjoy the smooth water and peace. Have your cameras ready for the amazing birds. Cardinals are surrounding you here and I was lucky enough to wake up to a humming bird sipping flowers in the morning. I just cannot put into words how amazing our weekend was here. If you are considering the future place, just do yourself a favor and book it. We are already booking our next stay for a couple of months away and plan to bring our 3 little girls so that they can catch some perch."
