A great place to stay for a quiet lakefront getaway! The host was very responsive and had many kayaks right there for use. Beautiful dock for fishing as well!
Perfect Cabin Getaway – Peaceful, Fun, and Fully Equipped!
I recently stayed at this beautiful cabin in the Poconos, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the kayaks—they made for a perfect day out on the water. Evenings by the fire pit were peaceful and just what we needed to unwind. The whole setup was perfect, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, nature-filled escape. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We had an amazing stay at this cabin! There was plenty of space for everyone, and we loved the boats for exploring the lake. The fireplace added a cozy touch to our evenings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.
5 of us stayed in the house for a girls getaway. The owner was great at communication with check in and check out process. The area was beuatiful and conveniently located
Very pretty, very cozy, had everything we needed was nice and warm fire place already lit as we walked in,, lots of places to eat and a lots of kitchen tools plan on trying out the summer great view of the frozen lake we didn’t try but we watched family’s play on the lake very beautiful the whole experience
The property was beautiful, sitting right Lake Carobeth. Within the first 20 minutes we were greeted by a friendly deer! The house was very clean and comfortably slept 5, each having our own queen bed and 2 bathrooms was a great plus.
We had an amazing week at this lake home. The house was very clean and cozy. The outside set up and all of the water toys were absolutely perfect. Lots of wild life and the lake was beautiful. Paulina was a wonderful host and we hope to stay at her place again. Highly recommended!
I cannot recommend this house enough. My family and I had an excellent stay here, and plan on returning. The owner was terrific, kind, and very responsive and detailed. The lake was perfect for backyard fishing and just relaxing with beautiful views. The home was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed many game nights! There was alot to enjoy around the area (mini golf, shopping, restaurants, zoo). Highly recommend this home!
The location great The only thing was there was a slight no lived in Oder we picked up some candles and even though it had said it had linens it had no top sheets . The house it self was clean and everything worked perfectly.
YEARLY GET TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS. QUIET & PEACE FULL RELAXING VACATION. HOUSE WAS CLEAN,PAULINA WAS AN A VERY ACCOMMODATING HOST, WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL, LOTS OF FUN ON THE LAKE AND CLOSE TO OTHER ADVENTURES NEAR BY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Not much to look at from the outside, but clean and updated on the inside. Right on the lake with many boats, and kyaks. Fishing was fun and the community pool is nice. The shed is full of life jackets, paddles, bicycles, water guns. There are board games in the house. There is no way to be bored here. Sitting around the fire pit at night roasting Marshmallows with the family was great.
Perfect weekend. We were there for a girls weekend. The house was perfect for us and we had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and kitchen nicely stocked. The views were beautiful even when it was raining. We didn’t get to use the outside activities because of weather but we saw either an otter/beaver swimming up the lake on the last day. The owner was always quick to answer. After two long days of hiking seeing waterfalls (14) and 6 breweries we came home to great house to relax and play games. Hopefully we will be back again.
We are 3 friends who met in college, now in out 70's who like to find a 3-bedroom retreat every summer to renew our friendship and have some fun. We loved Little Beaver! It had everything we needed (well, almost--the kitchen needs a cutting board). We chose this property largely because of its short walk to the lake from the back door. We made daily use of the kayaks, along with the paddleboat, and spent lovely early mornings on the dock enjoying the ducks and the quiet lake. The dock even had steps right down to the lake, where I launched my own dinghy without even getting my feet wet. There is also a convenient and neat gravel lined boat lauch for the kayaks, paddleboat and rowboat, In our kayak travels up and down the lake, we decided that "our" boat lauch and dock were the best on the lake! One shortcoming: the pictures on the website did not include the first floor bedroom, the 2nd floor bath, or a good view of the back of the house where the deck is. We took our chances anyway and were pleasantly surprised. The deck is large with table and chairs on one side and a seating are on the other. We spent much of our time there when not on the water. We also enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit at night. And the beds were very comfortable!
The property was as stated. Plenty of watercraft directly on the lake. Plenty of firewood for sale. The property was clean inside and out. Communication with property management was easy. My only suggestions are to have top sheets available for the beds as there were none, a few more rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. There was no long metal spatula for the outside grill. Only plastic ones for using on the stove. If you are planning to use the washer and dryer you must bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets. I would also suggest bringing extra dish soap as we went through the small bottle they provided. Bring your own beach towels and extra bath towels. There were 10 bath towels provided, one hand towel in each bathroom and one kitchen towel, no washcloths. The bunk beds had no blankets on them. We did find a very large blanket in a drawer. We did not use any of the community amenities so we cannot comment on that. To use those is a daily extra fee of $12 per person. The houses on either side are fairly close and not much barrier between the properties. The family's on both sides where pleasant and conscientious of the quiet hours. We saw plenty of wildlife. The deer visited every day looking for handouts as did the friendly ducks. One morning we saw an otter swim by and a snake. At night we saw two skunks waddle through the backyard. Bats fly at dusk catching bugs. Overall we had a great time!
Cottage was very cozy with the lake at your fingertips and a full view of the lake was very pretty at sunrise. Fully stocked kitchen, clean. A perfect get away that was peaceful. Paulina, the host, was very accessible and accommodating. Lots to do in and around the area…train rides (Jim Thorpe), horseback riding, hiking, shopping.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Everything was as described, with plenty of room for our family of five plus our dog. The outdoor space was lovely and we enjoyed kayaking, fishing, outdoor seating areas and firepit. Beds were comfortable! There was enough to do in the surrounding towns on one rainy day we had - shopping, cinema, escape rooms.
This was the 2nd year for us. We had to get maintenance there and he was there in 15 min. Great location for deer and scenery. Everyone enjoyed themselves and Paulina was a great host. Thanks again and hopefully we see you next year.
The host was amazing. House was clean and as expected . Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dinner for 10. Great location on the lake. Kids had so much fun using the kayaks and paddle boat. The only down fall was that the lake had E.Coli and we were unable to swim. We did use the amenities that the community has to offer: pools, splash pad, mini golf. The pool pass was 12 per person per day. Overall great place to stay. Perfect location!
