This private 1/2 acre property offers 100 ft of ocean/beach frontage directly on spectacular Chesterman Beach. Built among giant evergreens and facing westward on the open Pacific, the Tofino Beach House offers one of the most spectacular locations for a romantic getaway, family vacation or an unforgettable get-together with friends. 

With its airy architecture, the house opens itself to the surrounding nature, the generous deck is perfect for the long summer nights under Clayoquot Sound’s starry skies and the hot tub in the private bath house enjoys the same beautiful view of the ocean. To enjoy a beach fire as well as take in one of Tofino’s gorgeous sunsets, there is a private firepit area with bench seating. The tasteful interior with its eclectic mix of artwork and antiques invites you to spend time with our collection of books.

Would not book again
We arrived at to the house not cleaned or prepared for new guests. Food on the table and in the microwave, beds messy and just slept in, garbage full. The host sent the cleaners over immediately but it was very inconvenient to have 2 men in the house while we were trying to settle in with our child. Then, the cleaners showed up a day early before our check out. The property is lovely but it is not worth the price AT ALL. I would book with a proper vacation rental management company instead.

Relaxing stay in Tofino
Despite a day and a half of constant rain we had a very good four-day stay. The location can’t be beat: the house has beautiful views of Chesterman Beach, with good seating areas inside and out to take advantage of the vista. The house is quiet and feels very private, nestled among the trees. The kitchen is fully-equipped (better than many other places we’ve stayed). The bed was comfortable. The large washer and dryer were very useful, especially when we got wet in the rain. It’s a short drive in to Tofino. The property probably works best for a couple or a family with two children who are happy to share a room. The main suite is upstairs and includes a good bathroom and a walk-in closet. It also has views of the water. The second bedroom is very small and is just off the kitchen. Although the kitchen could use a bit of updating everything was fine and worked well for us. We’d very happily return.

Beautiful location with stunning house - winter watch paradise!
Very comfortable home that has a real fireplace for wood which was a great asset. Large windows make it fun to watch the surf all day/night long. Nicely secluded amongst the trees. Hot tub was absolutely top notch with comfortable seating for 6. Lovely loft king bed and bedroom with twin beds.

Beautiful house on Chesterman's Beach!
This home was fabulous! Meticulously clean, comfy beds, coffee, hot tub, heated bathroom floors, warm, and just steps to the beach. It was perfect! We even walked to Tofino & back as a day trip. We will be back!

Most excellent!
Overall: A very natural setting, not manicured which was so fitting for the property. The boardwalk to the beach was really a bonus, made for such easy access. Loved that the firepit space was recessed a bit back from the beach and somewhat private. The rooms that had heated floors were a nice perk. We'd love to be back to this property again.

Absolutely nothing to complain about
This is a very comfortable 2 bedroom home for four people. It's quiet, well set up, easy to use, and homey. Tons of art and home decorations make it feel even warmer, and the short raised path to the beach can't be beat. The two bathrooms had heated floors which we found essential, as did the entry/mud room which kept our shoes dry. And after a bit of boogy boarding in the chilly February water, the hot tub was the cherry on top.

Beautiful Chesterman Beach
Before breakfast walks on Chesterman Beach were a highlight of our stay. The heated floors of the bathrooms and laundry room made for happy feet. The house was clean and the TV was nice. However, in August of 2021 when we made the reservation, it was for a 3 bedroom (2 doubles and a twin) 3 bath property. When we arrived in October of 2022, it was a 2 bedroom (double and twin) 2 bath property, the cottage being locked up with no key available - and no communication to us of this fact by the property manager before our arrival. Not too bad, except if you are a 70+ year old with bad hips who had to climb narrow and what felt like steep steps up to the double bed room each night. And, since 2014, we have not booked a place with fewer than two double bed rooms since a good night's sleep is important to us and beds are not all alike.

Another Great Stay
This was our third year in a row for a family Thanksgiving getaway at this property and once again we were not disappointed. The location cannot be beat, just a few steps from walking or running along the beach, surfing or just chilling. This stay we discovered Roar, just a 15 minute walk to a funky 70's themed restaurant. Also a 15 minute walk to the Tofitian coffee house, Tacofino and Live to Surf. This beautiful home has everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. Already thinking about next year!

First time to Tofino
The location could not be better. The view is amazing and Chesterman beach which is literally right there couldn't be more beautiful or better for walking. We surfed right out our back door. Downtown Tofino is at most a 10 minute drive. The neighbors were very quiet and the home is an amazing mix of peaceful, yet close to everything. Can't wait to return!

Chestermans beach
It was a beautiful home with great beach access. They had a hose to wash your shells and feet to get rid of the sand. I would stay there again in a heartbeat but longer this time. They even left a nice bottle of wine for us. Laura Ross
