Great simple room with bathrooms that were a bit more spacious than other business hotels in the area. Carpet was a bit old looking but otherwise very clean.
Central location with many shops/restaurants around. For breakfast you get vouchers which you can use for the restaurant Dennys or for the bakery. Free coffee/tea and other things at the reception, vending maschine, microwave and laundry available.
Perfect for a short stay. Quiet . Near the shopping area and police station just side . A family restaurant in the building. Not mentioning that it’s connected to the station. I loved it.
JR hotel Akabane is several steps from the Akabane train station. The traffic is super convenient, and it is surrounded by tons of restaurants, convenient stores and various shops. I have never worried about running out of food, even in the late night.
The facilities in the hotel are amazing. Although super close to the train station, all rooms have sound proof windows so you barely hear the noises from the train. The air conditioner is also working very well. We kept the room temperature to 22 to 23 and it is EXACTLY 22 or 23. The air purifier is perfectly functioning. We have never smelt ANYTHING bad, even not the old carpet smell that most hotels can't avoid to have. In a word, the room is super clean and comfortable, making the stay enjoyable.
Finally, the staffs are very very very friendly. They will try their best to help you or get anything you need.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay close to the train station and at the same time enjoy clean, comfortable and friendly environments, as well as modern facilities.
Only one thing to consider: the room size is a bit small (a common thing in Tokyo though). Do check the size before you book a room!
Very close to the train station and also accessible to any of the tourists spot suck as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro and Ueno etc.. it just takes within 3 stations to the above mentioned. Also, breakfast in the package is also satisfying and fulfilling every morning. It comes with plenty of choices that you can enjoy. Rice set is highly recommended as it could support you the whole morning. It was a pleasant stay and I would recommend to anyone coming to Tokyo. Tbh, that’s also my third time staying with JR Mets Akabane.
Soundproof room was great alongside tracks.
Real cups, not plastic or paper
Beds comfortable.
Your check in screen is not foreigner friendly, but staff was kind
Housekeeping does not make your bed during consecutive stays to ‘save the environment’.
Housekeeping threw away my left over property instead of sending it to front desk to keep.
Disappointed. Should book Toyok* Inn next door.
