Take the airport limousine to shinadome station, then take a go taxi to the hotel (make sure address is in Japanese). Check in was easy. They also have English speaking staff. Just a reminder that the check in is on floor 7. The buffet stays open pretty late. Room was nice and clean. Has all the amenities you may need. staff was very attentive. I did have one issue with the bath house putting shampoo in the conditioner bottle other than that it was a relaxing stay. They have a woman only floor but men can still access it if they have a room on that floor or are taking an elevator or stairs between floors. There’s also a cute gift shop. I didn’t have time to try the foot bath but next time I will. Also lots of restaurants and Konbini in the area
Perfect place to shake of some jet lag or time out with some onsen meditation. Walk around in PJ’s and slow right down. Food is pretty good, reasonable variety and good value.
No one could really speak or understand English but they did try. It just took longer. The layout of the hotel is a little confusing because check in is on the 7 th floor. Our room was on the 4th floor when you walk out of the elevator there’s the massage room. The entrance is on the second floor. The Amenities where great we used the Onsen several times. The breakfast buffet food is so good. I recommend this place.
Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club is beautiful, and the facilities were more luxurious than expected. They have strict tattoo policies where one small tattoo is okay, but multiple or any medium-large are completely unacceptable onsite. This was written explicitly in their booking form, though I was hopeful I wouldn’t be nervous to have some ink peek under my sleeve accidentally. While I had no expectations to use the public onsen, I was grateful there were private onsens for rent to get to experience some of the facilities. The views from our room were excellent as well. Location is certainly out of the way, but was easy enough to access by train, it just meant leaving loads of time to get to and from anywhere else in Tokyo.
The spa facilities were good and the staff in the lobby area were very helpful and spoke good English. The bed was very hard and the pillows special, but that is probably because they are supposed to be better for health. So I won't complain about that. In addition, I had a lovely view of the bay (although I felt people were looking straight into my room).
If I were to complain about something, it would be that there was a constant pounding sound from the floor below me when I was trying to sleep (all night and after breakfast too). In addition, the breakfast buffet was confusing and not very clearly marked. And the plasters you have to cover the tattoo with were very bad, they came off after just a couple of minutes in the water. So I had to keep them in place and really felt like I didn't belong because of that.
One thing to remember is that you are not allowed to wear shoes at all in the area and if you are on the bigger side (like me) the relaxation clothes can be a bit problematic to put on.
Clean and new facility, baths were very well kept and clean ,staff were accommodating. Convenient hotel ,cards were given upon arrival to be used to purchase items throughout the facility,no need to carry your wallet or momey. Great geataway from reality.
I chose this hotel based on location for the purpose of my travel without knowing this is some sort of Spa resort. However, Zen is impossible to be found given their military approach and horrible sense of architecture. "customers" are prohibited from using shoes past the entrance, having any sort of tattoo (unless is 2 sq. inches or less hahah). I don't have one but I think this is absurd. People are given some sort of robes at the entrance and there are multitudes of them moving around, giving you a sense of spiritual prison. Exiting can only happen through a single point and key card needs to be swiped to leave. There are lines everywhere (must have more than 1000 rooms). Rooms have the cheapest possible materials, towels have the size of a kleenex and the texture of sandpaper. Absolutely uninviting. I didn't try their communal baths, judging by the amount of guests they just can't be a good option. Hotels.com should remove this place from their listings. I'm absolutely certain any Japanese would be ashamed of this type of business.
Check in was a nightmare. The worst I have ever had. My reservation was broken up into 2 segments of 5 continuous nights. That was due to me adding another night on to my original 4 night stay. Trying to convey this to the desk staff, who believed I had only booked one night was close to impossible. 30 minutes later through an interpreter they finally understood the situation and located my 4 night reservation beginning the next day. BUT.....they wanted me to bring all my suitcases down the following morning, store them, and then come back to the hotel at 3pm to check in for the next 4 nights. WHAT? I already had a reservation for the next 4 nights, why not keep me in the same room? They told me that no, that couldn't be done.
The following morning I came down to the front desk and asked for a supervisor that could speak english so that I could explain the situation. (Yes, I realize I was in a foreign country that is under no obligation to speak English, but I knew someone could speak just enough to understand the dilema.). They did find someone and a lovely lady assisted me and kept me in the same room wth no need to check out and then check back in.
This was the only negative. The onsen and facilties were great. This was my second stay here and the included breakfast was always a great start to long days moving about Tokyo.
