"Staff is friendly. Place is a rip off apartment is so small you literally cannot open or close doors to the rooms. There is zero closet space, towels were just disgusting bed sheets were not clean sand literally in the bed and everywhere in the beds. View of lake was amazing balcony was amazing. Ac didn’t work in one bedroom. It has good kitchen and was ok if there is two people staying there. Otherwise don’t go, place is a rip off unless you like to overpay."

"The actual place was nice. The check in process was challenging. We had to download an app and put in our passport information, etc. we didn’t have good internet service so it was very difficult. It would be nice if they provided more than one washcloth and if they provided shower soaps. The toilet was situated very strange. It was very quiet and clean. We were alone in the whole building. "

"Hatten noch niemals so eine schlechte Unterkunft. Kaputte Möbel, schmutziges sehr gestückeltes Geschirr. Nur zwei kleine Handtücher, Loch in der Balkontür, falsche Fernbedienung, viele Spinnen und Spinnengewebe, lose Tapeten, keine Kaffeemaschine, Toaster defekt. Hühnertreppe ins Apartment, für ältere und behinderte Menschen unzumutbar. Wasserhahn lose, usw. Kein WLAN, Insgesamt inakzeptabel, zumal für diesen Preis. "We booked this accommodation relying on the filters from VRBO which indicated this was a two bed property with private pool. In fact this is a house split into 3 appartments so we had 7 adults and 3 children sharing the space. Our apartment had one bedroom. We felt very crowded, especially as we had no separation from each other in our flat. Our 16 and 10 year old were sleeping in the living area. It was hot and the air conditioning is only in the living room so all the doors needed to be...

"4 of us spent 2 weeks at this apartment and overall we had a very good experience. Very clean, safe, spacious, well equipped with a very modern bathroom with washing machine. 20 mins walk to the Balaton and shops. Also in a very quiet location. 1 improvement suggestion would be the beds in all of the rooms, which were old fashioned and very hard which is not to everyone's liking. Finally the aircon usage was chargeable, which was not shown in the description when booking & the rate was too high."

Top Tolna County Hotel Reviews

Mövenpick Balaland Resort Lake Balaton

10/10 Excellent

"If you have kids under 6, this place is absolutely brilliant. Not just in Hungary, but in all of Europe."

Anna Grand Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lake Balaton was picturesque and relaxing. The hotel was beautiful, extremely well maintained inside and out. The staff were very helpful and everyone we walked past said hello/good morning/good afternoon - we felt welcome. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The wellness centre was brilliant and we made a point of going to soak in the warm pool each morning. My husband also used the sauna & cooler pool. We also decided to book a massage with Eva and she was brilliant! The breakfast was fantastic - a huge selection and probably the best we have had on our travels. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to return again some time."

Hotel Vinifera Wine & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed our time at this property, thank you. I think there is great value overall. The balcony was really relaxing and our room was spacious. The grounds are really well kept and there are lots of seating and room for guests to enjoy. We really appreciated the small bathtub put in our room for our baby. Very nice attention to detail. We also enjoyed the wine tasting. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and it’s a nice touch to not only try wines from the area but also to mingle with others. If I’m being honest, my husband and I felt the food is overpriced. We had lunch once and dinner once for two which totaled over $220 with no alcohol (the dinner price is fixed and lunch consisted of chicken tenders, a sandwich and fries). Dinner is a buffet and à la carte combo. I may be the minority here but the buffet food and aspect cheapened the costly dinner experience as we felt the à la carte part was the tastiest and freshest. Would’ve rather had the ordering menu and had a glass of wine included in the price. The cost of the food and the cost of the room was just a bit odd to us."

Kenese Bay Garden Resort & Conference Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Family with one teenager, from the UK. We were super impressed with this hotel. We don't speak Hungarian, but we were made so welcome, particularly by the reception staff, who responded to requests for kettles, an iron, and numerous other things. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of sunbeds and the variety of food at breakfast and dinner. It was such a relaxing stay — we absolutely loved it!"
