"Had read good reviews of this hotel, so decided to book and it was great. Was only here 1 night, but would definitely stay again. Bedroom & bathroom clean and comfortable and a nice comfy bed too. Dinner was great as was breakfast next morning. Staff all friendly, welcoming and helpful. Easy parking either in dedicated patron’s car park or on street. Great location for exploring the area and Castle Douglas itself is a nice town with lots of independent businesses and plenty cafes, delis etc, Took a trip to nearby Kirkcudbright in the evening…only 15 minutes away and heading to Threave Gardens…only 5 minutes drive or could even walk it. All in, a few pleasant days in the area."

"Rooms were very clean and ensuite we only stayed 1 night as a stop over and would use again, a large communal kitchen and tv room even though there were tvs in the rooms, very quiet and relaxung "
