Had a lovely stay here staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Great location Only down side was I had searched for hotels with parking and aircon which this hotel has but at an additional charge. Which I was informed had I booked direct with the hotel for the same price for room my parking would have been free instead of the £9 a day

I was woken up at 6 am by staff loudly chatting outside my window. The hotel is old and anyone walking above makes loud creaks. There are also loud noises whenever someone in another room flushes the toilet. Was cheap but would not stay again

Very large hotel .Only 1.side of building caters for disabled. Only1 lift in certain part oog hotel, so not catered for disabled with mobility problems .excellent service from all staff .

We had a 3 night stay.. In a family room.. We asked to change to a different room the following morning... Very old rooms wallpaper hanging off loose bathroom floor tiles.. If we wanted a better room we had to pay £60 extra Plus as we booked through hotels. Com we got charged for parking £21.. This is unfair ...

Hotel is having a makeover which is a good thing, but even with paying an upcharge for a new room it’s advertised as a super king room which we thought included a larger bed. It was still only a double. The room was quite small but the bathroom shower was a nice size but toiletries were very basic. Also just a tiny shelf to put things. Air conditioning was also advertised but then you get told to pay an extra £10:00. The pillows were nice but the mattress is a bit too soft. Also the pool looked a little cloudy and dingy and there was a hose with running hot water just stuck in the pool unattended. Would have hated for a child to have grabbed it. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

The mattresses on the bed were very hard very uncomfortable. Staff were lovely very helpful and friendly. Quite noisy doors slamming at night didnt get much sleep the whole time we were there.

Breakfast was nice good choice, King room upgrade for £10 pp a night was nice, pool was nice but small lucky just two of us in it you have to pay £10 deposit per towel and a £1 for the hire, Entertainment was okay, Had to pay £27 parking for three night stay because I booked through Expedia, Sports bar food (burnt bacon bap)+ a pint deal was terrible was the driest thing I’ve ever eaten plus was over charged for the food then had to see a manager to get £3 refund (How embarrassing), smells stale and damp in the corridors, full skips and building materials out near parking areas.
