Good bar staff, service excellent and friendly. Room was ok, bit tired but it served it's purpose. Parking at multi story very close and payment made at hotel. Will use again.

Nice friendly hotel

Excellent 2 night stay. Had superior front facing room, had lots of room to move around with mobility walker. Breakfast was good with friendly staff and bar staff also friendly staff.

Dated but friendly and comfortable

Hotel was a bit tired looking and shabby in places,however the staff were friendly and helpful despite hotel being very busy,bed was clean and comfortable and nice help yourself breakfast.

Good location staff friendly but no double glazing

Location for the princess theatre was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was warm and clean. Sadly the window wasn't double glazed so I could hear traffic and chatter as I was on the road side of the building.

A hotel in a good position with great staff

A good value hotel in a great position. The breakfast is OK but would be better with better quality ingredients and more staff. Due to the lack of staff there was a long Queue which could have been avoided. Also more staff would mean food would have been stocked better. The quality of the sausages needs to be improved - even my dog turned up his nose. Take a look at Beefeater suppliers as my dog loves those! Porridge would be a good addition and better quality bread. I felt the coffee was an instant rather than a fresh bean coffee. If all was better quality I would be happy to pay more.

I couldn't fault the hotel. The view from my hotel window was out of this world, but what sticks in my mind more than anything else was the courtesy and professionalism and shown by all staff. I will DEFINITELY be going back to the same hotel.

Very happy 😊

We arrived early for checkin and asked if we could leave our bag which was no problem. Only stayed one night but found it very good value, nice room with a sea view, comfortable bed and a good breakfast in the morning. Cant really ask for more. Thank you, we will be back!

Weekend break for two

Room was clean comfortable and pleasant, we booked a room with a sea view and was in a good position except the huge trees outside on the main road were not being kept by the local council and blocked the view completely. Staff as always were excellent extremely helpful. I love this place
Don’t leave the windows open too wide or this xx rely fella will visit you

Good Stay

It is just a good average hotel. No frills but nothing to complain about either. The room was a little dated but perfectly adequate. The bed was very comfortable! Clean towels, tv, kettle, what else do you need?

Very outdated. Not very clean. Definitely needs some work doing to whole hotel. It’s very much a hotel populated by the elderly. Entertainment every night we were there which was nice. Breakfast was poor. Staff were lovely.

Pleasant stay in the Torbay.

The hotel was in a good location with car parking available if required but it is a 10 minute walk for £6/day.The room was clean and spacious and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful although the dining room staff were a bit pushed at times.The food was quite good overall and the dining area was spacious as was the bar area with pleasant staff serving drinks.The hotel is situated in a central area for all the shops and restaurants in a very picturesque part of the town.Had a very nice stay and would always go back to this hotel for a stay in Torquay.

In Shackleton’s footsteps

Not the most modern but with lots of character, very central which is a huge bonus and very attentive staff. The evening meal is an absolute bargain considering the options. Considering Ernest Shackleton had his final dinner here in 1907 before his Antarctic expedition the hotel is wearing well and you can just imagine him with a cigar on the balcony before setting off (not allowed now!)

Nice weekend break away

Have stayed here several times, mainly for the ideal location of the hotel. This time we were on 4th floor, rooms were way to hot and unbearable to sleep at night, even though we had a fan in our room. Booked a cheap room this time also and room cleanliness wasn't the best, odd sock still in wardrobe and all mirrors were dirty and dusty. But next time will book the more dearer rooms

Night in Torquay.

Car parking .i Now know out side a white box for loading and unloading to get the pass for cheaper parking multistory near.hotel good clean quick checkin.bedroom clean ideal rear of hotel quiet excect for next door told the bed broke and everymovent sounded! So sleeping disturbed.other than that fine.
