"While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. The room was basic and the furniture - old. Breakfast was basic compared to standard Italian hotels, and most tables in the restaurant were filthy with leftovers and crumbs from previous guests. I definitely do not recommend this place. "

"If your looking for a place close to the train station this is great. A little bit of a trek up hill to get to the city center where everything is. No breakfast unless you think packaged biscuits and bread breakfast, not happy about that. "

This bed and breakfast (coffee and croissant in the Centrale Bar in the piazza below) may be one of only a few places here to stay. They have no fast food chains in this town of about 12,000 but it is a slice of Italy that hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. The accommodations were very good but there is no staff onsite. I had the most amazing stay at Dimora Donna Dora. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. It’s clear how much love and care has been poured into this place. The whole property is extremely clean and breakfast was wonderful! The views from the balcony of our room were absolutely breathtaking. Parking was very easy and stress free with a huge lot available right across the property. Our whole experience was exceptional from start to finish, we can’t wait to come back to San Martino and stay at Dimora Donna Dora again! Highly recommend to anyone "

"Positives: service was fast and friendly. Nicola was very helpful of where to visit in LUCERA and help with luggage. Breakfast pastries were fresh and coffee great.
Negatives: the location is a10 minute car ride to town and nothing is around (except unfinished building). Landscaping needs to be cleaned up to give the look from the photos. Any noise in the building is noticeable in the room, even chairs moving and low voices.
