"I was looking forward to our stay in the parador. It didn't disappoint. A building with a historic feel. The staff were friendly and our room was clean and tidy It's in a good location. We didn't use the swimming pool . It has a lovely outdoor seating area Having been out, we returned not too late to find the bar de noches closing This is not a criticism but a sign if you want a quiet peaceful stay, then this is the place for you An enjoyable short stay"

"This was our second time staying at this hotel. Once on the way down from France to Portugal and once on the way back.. It is a large, well appointed hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and well appointed with a little balcony to look out over the car park, the road and the retail units beyond. Good double glazing as the room was very quiet. We had a light breakfast in the cafeteria which is a part of the hotel, which was extra to our room price, but very reasonably priced and great coffee. "

"We were right on the main plaza (plaza mayor), in the heart of this medieval town, just outside of the walled city, so the location was great. There is No Reception, as is stressed in the property description, so they want you to arrive at a specific time. We did not, but a woman did hear me and came out and gave us our keys. One important thing to note is that as it is an old building, there is NO elevator. For older folks who might have difficulty hauling suitcases up two flights of stairs, this was a problem. Once we were in our room, everything was fine. Window onto the Plaza, very comfortable bed and pillows, water pressure and temperature fine. When we left, the friendly man who cleans the rooms carried our suitcases down the stairs. Overall, the accommodations for two nights were just fine. "
