The Scorrybreac path The Scorrybreac path is a circular route to the north east of Portree. At this point the path winds between huge boulders that have fallen from the face of Ben Chracaig. Ahead, across the fields of the Bile, is Creag Mhor, towering over the Sound of Raasay.

Am Bile Looking along the Bile, where there is an area of grazing land below the township of Torvaig. It can be accessed from above by an ancient cart track. The shoreline below is Port a'Bhata (port of the boats) on the Sound of Raasay. Beyond the Bile is Ben Chracaig, guarding the entrance to Portree Bay. In the centre foreground is an exposure of Mesozoic rock, part of the layer that supports the more recent basaltic plateau lavas that make up most of north Skye.

One of the more beautiful hotels that I've been to. The hotel staff are great, the dinner and free breakfast were fantastic and it's located right on the water which provides stunning views. I would absolutely come back here again
