From here, you can take a serene walk to the arty village of Dartington (6 miles). Dartmouth (10 miles) promises a ride on a steam railway and delightful National Trust sites. Or plan a day out in Brixham (6 miles) for beach strolls and delicious seafood restaurants. Keen to pull on those hiking boots? Drive 11 miles to Dartmoor National Park for walks taking in craggy landscapes, forests, rivers and wetlands, and possibly some grazing Dartmoor ponies.
