"The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed."

"Owner was super nice and very accommodating with our change of schedule (due to train issues). Place was clean. No A/C (that we were aware of), which we opened the window. Unfortunately, it was a Friday night and the people outside were a bit loud for awhile (not the owner’s fault). The only downside was we found out we were only renting a room when we arrived, not the apartment itself. Great location and close to the cruise terminals."

"When you arrive at the hotel you appreciate the history that lies within it. The Crown Hotel has a charming appeal ,and it's a traditional English hotel. The reception area is inviting with a large fire place that is historic, and next to it is a very inviting lounge also. There is a lift that is ( supposedly) the oldest in Europe! The bar in in the resturant is very nicely decorated, a good choice of wine, beers and spirit's, if you would like to have a tipple. The rooms are very clean, the bed was very comfortable, with a good night's sleep had. Bathroom compact but was very clean, shower or bath was great with lots of hot water, they provide hair and body wash if you forget yours. Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice and quality of food. The resturant again served very good quality food in the evening. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is a Garden area to relax in with enough seating for all, also within the lounges they provide board games, cards, chess should you have time on your hands or while away the time with a night cap ! Definitely recommend a stay at The Crown."
