"This was a nice place to stay, very clean and had everything we needed. We loved how isolated it is, and it had great views of the stars. The description is misleading/wrong though. You do not get a whole cottage to yourself. It it more of a duplex where the host lives on one side of the building. It says to get keys from the neighbor which we assumed was a different house, but its not and the actual neighbor is quite annoyed that people keep showing up asking for keys. So when you show up, you get keys from Bobby who lives in the other section of the building. Bobby was great, but the description needs to be updated. "

"This house is in a great position with wonderful views. It is very spacious and has everything you need. It was spotless and has good drying facilities for those wet days that can happen! Great for beach walks and bird watching from the house. We would like to return."

"A lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful secluded location, within minutes walk of the rugged coast or a few minutes drive to a fabulous sandy bay. Facilities seem complete, with nothing else needed for our stay and the cottage was spotless and warm when we arrived.The entire region is visually stunning. "This lovely cottage is better than the pictures. To start each morning in the sunroom with a cup of tea, looking out at the spectacular view was a gift. The bedrooms were all lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some wonderful meals. The weather was superb and we were also able to dine outside on the terrace. It was a joy to communicate with the owner, Fiona. We loved the little additional touches, like the local shower gels and shampoo from the Isle of Harris. The Outer Hebrides were better than we imagined. I definitely recommend the hike around the island of Scalpay which you can do right from the house, including a visit to the lighthouse, a definite highlight. The most magnificent beaches are only a short drive away. I hope we can return! And when we do, we will definitely stay here. "
