Detached spacious Isle of Lewis cottage in tranquil position with loch view

"First and foremost: the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. There had been a very minor glitch at check-in (which was resolved immediately) but the hosts insisted on "making up for your trouble" by treating me to a traditional dinner at a nearby hotel. This was not necessary (I didn't feel they had anything to apologize for) but it was very appreciated. AND the cottage itself was very welcoming: everything was there--coffee, tea, cereals, milk for coffee amd cereals, lots of "biscuits" plus all the condiments and spices you needed for elegant meals. The kitchen had all the dinnerware and pots and utensils you required, the bathroom was stocked with lots of amenities, and there were plug adaptors for American-style appliance plugs. They really put a lot of thought into providing everything anyone would need to live there. It felt like home."

"Our host Marie was excellent. We didn’t arrive at the property until the last ferry got in but she was there to welcome us and told us how to light the fire and provide a general rundown of the house. She even provided a welcome basket that was full of essentials to get us started the next day.The rooms are spotless and the beds were all really comfy.I have no hesitation on recommending this property and know that when I’m going back to Lewis, I will be staying here again"

"This house is set within the most beautiful surroundings. There are three of the most stunning beaches within walking distance and although close to a road it is very quiet. The house itself is clean and as described. If there were 10 people it would be a squash to seat everyone round the kitchen table, but if the single beds in the bedrooms are for children then it would work well. The single bathroom is well equipped and the shower is powerful. The porch is a lovely place to sit and watch golden eagles fly straight over you. A stunning place in a stunning location- we very much hope to come back. Carol Ann responded quickly to our queries and gave us clear instructions for arrival and departure."

"Had an absolutely spectacular time staying at the pod. It was very cozy with all the amenities needed for a perfect stay. The views were magical of the bay with visits from magestic stags and soaring white tail eagles. Would highly recommend 10/10."
