Good value, early check in

When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con.

Angenehmer Kurzaufenthalt

Kurzer Aufenthalt, freundlicher Empfang, riesen Zimmer und Bad. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das frisch zubereitete Omelette beim Frühstück war Weltklasse!

Value for money so expect the Ritz

Hotel represents value for money, located in a good position near the railway station close to restaurants, bars and tour operators. Staff helpfull. Little English spoken in the hot as well as the local area. Wifi in the room was very spasmodic and required frequent logins. The hotel was clean but in need of some TLC. There was also no in-room safe or tea/coffee making facilities in the room as written in the room description.

Hotelkamer is erg basic, wel airco. Warm water was niet erg warm. Het ontbijt bestond uit een aantal cakejes en oploskoffie. Als tussenovernachting van 1 nacht is wel goed te doen, maar niet voor een week.

Amis voyageurs, passez votre chemin.

De part mon esprit ´routard’, je ferai abstraction du bruit causé par la mauvaise insonorisation de cet hôtel, de son décor vieillot, du drap de lit troué et de l’air conditionné vicié (les fenêtres ne s’ouvrant pas). Je ne retiendrai que l’essentiel: aucun sens du service! C’est ainsi que nous avons été pressé par le personnel de l’hôtel peu avant 8h du matin à interrompre notre petit déjeuner tout juste entamé pour prendre un taxi réservé la veille par leur biais pour un départ vers l’aéroport à 9h45!! Aucune alternative viable ne nous a été proposée. Après deux semaines passées à la découverte de la Thaïlande en famille en séjournant dans cinq hôtel ´bon marché’ dont on gardera de bons souvenirs à tous niveaux, disons juste que Thumrin est un gros point noir.

Knappt OK för en natt

Frukost fanns inte på hotellet fast den ingick i priset. Personalen körde oss i bil till matställen, vilket tog extra tid. ACn gav knappt ifrån sig någon kyla. Gammalt o slitet hotell

Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter und das sieht man der Einrichtung auch an. Trotzdem hat alles funktioniert und es war sehr sauber. Besonders das Badezimmer war renovierungsbedürftig aber sauber. Alles in Allem ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Good Stopover Choice

Good stopover hotel on the way to or from the islands. Well located by the train station with some restaurants nearby. Room spacious, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was ok. The TV was dated. The only thing I found a bit weird was that when we asked the front desk to get us a cab to the airport, they told us to go outside and find a tuk tuk.

Sehr gut für Thailand!

Hotel.com ist NICHT Vertragspartner mit diesem Hotel - wir mussten, obwohl per Internet reserviert und bezahlt, bei der Ankunft bar bezahlen. Hotel.com hat sich auf mehrere meiner Emails nicht gemeldet. Also, dieses Hotel nicht über Hotel.com buchen!!!! Wir sind absolut nicht zufrieden, wie das gelaufen ist! Das Hotel selbst ist ok, jedenfalls der 5. Stock, wo wohl alle Touristen untergebracht werden. Der ist ziemlich neu renoviert. Das Person ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.
