The house is a nicely laid out 3/2 for six adults…except putting a king size bed in the third bedroom leaves no room to walk down one side, which means, if there are two of you, you either crawl to the end of the bed or over the other person to get in or out of bed.
When we arrived a little after our 4pm check in time, the beds were not made and wet sheets and towels were in the dryer and the washer. Fortunately, we were in town to see my son a few blocks away, so we took half the load to his house to use the dryer.
A very nice cleaning lady did show up about 4:15 and was very much surprised to find the house occupied. She did a good job cleaning and made the one bed that we had dry sheets for.
The kitchen is adequate. There were 8 full size glasses but only a few smaller. There were enough plates. Be aware that the drawer with the cooking utensils next to the refrigerator may fall out when opened. There are six chairs at the table which can supplement the sofa and loveseat for seating in the family room. There were two trash cans in the house; a third in the second bath would have been nice. Speaking of bathrooms, one showerhead is very low and would be inconvenient for many people. There is a large flat yard in the back if you have kids that need room to run and play.
Around 1:30 AM of the first night, the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms crashed down on my daughter and her husband while they were sleeping. Upon inspection, it was noted that the fan had been mounted with two sheetrock anchors, definitely not to code. Judging by the three sets of holes in the ceiling, this was not the first time the fan had been mounted. We contacted the owner who said that he could try to find someone to remount the fan or that we could move out immediately and receive a refund for the second night. We declined both options, as it was New Year's Eve, it was raining, and we had a major family event beginning in a couple of hours for the remainder of the weekend.
