What a beautiful view, waking up at the beach and big beautiful windows to look out at the water was terrific. Would highly recommend staying here. Chairs to sit in or lay out in.
Wonderful small hotel right on the beach of the East Grand Traverse Bay. It was a beautiful view and very relaxing. There were plenty of beach chairs available, a fire pit, and tables for picnicking. The room was nice, bed was comfortable, staff was helpful. Conveniently located but not in the hustle and bustle of the Traverse City downtown area. We would stay here again.
Pleasant stay right on the beach. Rooms are a little musty, small baths , old carpets but outdoors are very well maintained, constantly cleaned. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a great stay with family on with lots of beach time.
Property was a nice beach spot. Room was good, roomy, and clean. Actual key for door lock to open room but that was only kind of odd thing. Would stay again.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Beach Haus! We got a king veranda room on the ground floor. We could walk right out our back sliding door onto the grass and just steps from the beach. We could lay in bed and see the beautiful view. Our room was clean and modern. Fresh cookies were served every evening! Outside there are plenty of places to sit- rocking chairs, fire top table, lounge chairs. Also some real cute ducks that waddle around the property! And the staff was very kind and helpful. Shout out to Kevon!
The perfect balcony beach view!! The staff was very kind and helpful if we needed anything. Great spot for everything we wanted to do for the holiday weekend!!

Wonderful view, the landscaping is awesome and the beach is very clean. However the building needs an extensive renovation and upgrade.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Nice beach front area. Hotel has been updated on the outside but not their rooms. VERY noisy road noise all night long on the busy main road. Strong smell of mildew in the room. Damp and loud air conditioner and we were wondering if the mold smell may have been coming from the unit. Breakfast seating is at counter height with limited processed food choices. They did have bottled water but no place to fill up your own water bottles, they sent me to the hotel next door for that. Nice outdoor space with clean/quiet beach. If you can get past the room, the outdoor space is nice. Definitely NOT worth what they were charging per night.
The Beach Haus definitely shows its age, but is well renovated and, for the price, what you get is reasonable. All of the rooms at this location do face the lake, however, you will pay more for a room with a balcony or private seating area. The lake view itself is beautiful and you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset due to location. The hotel does provide breakfast from 7am-10am, but it is basic and there are no hot foods (cereal, bagels, coffee, yogurt, etc.) The room was simple, but they do provide you with everything you might need. It wasn’t dirty, but some areas were dated and cabin-like so some might consider that less cleanly than the average hotel. Overall a great experience. Not perfect, but everything you might need to enjoy a stay that is more focused on the outdoors than the room you’re staying in.

The room was old and it looked old. The breakfast items were okay, but that's all. The beach and lawn were great. We didn't know there was no elevator and to get a first floor room we had to pay $50 extra. I use a walker and can't do stairs. Our room was squeezed into a corner and had no beach or water view unless you went right up to the sliding door. The bed was on the wrong wall to get any view from there. Would we stay there again? Only if it were free. Disappointed!
From the exterior the building looks older, that's where it ends. The rooms have been remodeled, including the bathroom with tall shower heads, newer mattresses. Rooms were clean with taller mini fridge and freezer as well as microwave. Groomed beach area for watching sunsets, as well as grassy area if you want to off the sand. Overall it was reasonably priced and would stay again.
Clean room, comfortable beds, very inviting outdoor space and clean beach, nice helpful staff. But some safety concerns…Bathroom tub slippery, no grab bar. On the outside stairs there are no handrails that can be grabbed, and inadequate lighting. I tripped in the dark, luckily I fell upwards. Breakfast is a bit sub par.
