"The staff were friendly and helpful but the facilities were not great. The shower took ages to get hot and it's then got too hot with almost no midday. Fire alarm kept going off apparently cause steams from the shower. Beds squeaking and broken blinds etc. "

"Rooms are tastefully decorated with beautiful on suite bathroom. Staff very good and breakfast freshly cooked and not from a hot plate. Plenty of takeaways nearby but we are in and it was excellent. Only thing I could say against the Valley was nobody on reception. Road noise was also loud but didn’t really bother us too much. All in all an excellent stay and will be using again as a stop over before catching the ferry to Dublin. Well done The Valley and staff."

"Disappointing Service and Technical Issues We had a frustrating experience during our recent stay. Upon arrival, we discovered that none of the power outlets in our room were functioning. This meant we were unable to charge our devices, use the lamps, or even make a cup of tea or coffee. We arrived around 9:30 PM, and while we understood that reception was closed for the night, we attempted to call the provided emergency contact number several times. Unfortunately, no one answered. The following morning, we explained the situation to a member of the cleaning staff. She was incredibly apologetic and kind; she even took our kettle to the main hotel building to boil it for us so we could have a hot drink, which we truly appreciated. However, our experience with management was less than satisfactory. We encountered the manager, and despite it being obvious that he was aware of the electrical issues, he offered no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. It was clear that this was a pre-existing problem, as we noticed other guests had extension cables running from their bedrooms to external power sources. While the room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, the property feels dated and is in need of some TLC. If management had simply acknowledged the issue and communicated with us, we would have been far more understanding. Given the price and the lack of professional service, I believe there are better accommodation options in the area."

"Very friendly, considerate & welcoming staff, great atmosphere, very busy. Good food. Comfy bed. Nice rooms. Stairs to rooms. Need to book restaurant when busy. Parking can be limited when extra busy. Great views over the Menai strait’s. Outside seating. "

"The majority of the rooms is not in the castle but in a converted barn, paper thin walls so you can hear everything happening in the next room. Some rooms don’t have connected bathrooms so you hear the doors constantly slam as they need to use the toilet. The meal in the restaurant costs 70 each and the amount of food you get is embarrassing, they will hide behind this by saying it’s fancy food but I would not even feed it to my dog. Save your money as even if you are rich and can afford it I suggest you find a different place. "

"3rd visit to the property and it was amazing as always. The house is always in immaculate condition and the facilities are great. Our children are older now so could enjoy the games provided and the outside space. We would recommend this to anyone looking to explore Angelsey. "
