"The property is an old pub. The bed was comfy and room size adequate. Bathroom is in need of renovations. Pub quaint, good to chat with friendly locals, had cheap bar snacks for dinner. Breakfast was set in a nice room, fireplace and rose on table. Only a continental but it was lovely. Quiet evening location."

"Hotel was beautiful. Spotlessly clean and staff were lovely and helpful. Shower was a little small in the room but that couldn't really be helped as the room itself was small. We had b&b and the cooked breakfast wasn't great. Bacon wasn't cooked enough for me and the mushrooms seemed to be out of a tin. But this is just my preference. We would stay again but maybe see if there's a bigger room and choose something different for breakfast."

"I loved staying here! Such helpful staff, and a gorgeous room with the comfiest bed. Great location, and has a charming pub with great food (loved the crab risotto). Made to order breakfast with lots of options including vegetarian. One thing to note - my room’s window was over the front door and things get a little rowdy outside on weekends - nothing my air buds couldn’t drown out. Would highly recommend!"

"If you like Travelodge formica probably not for you. Older property with varnished skirtings and painted furniture but immaculately kept and spotlessly clean. The owners’ attention to detail is second to none, has everything you need, good shower and not stingy with the coffee supplies. Pleasant dining room and nice bar area, freshly cooked breakfast as recommended by many others. Even has effective cctv covering the carpark (we have a soft top car). Would happily stay here again."

"The Highcliffe is lovely. Beautiful rooms, easy access to the beach, lovely staff and complimentary breakfast. Just a short walk to the beach and several places to eat. The walk from the beach to the hotel is uphill, but it's only a few minutes walk and there is plenty of parking right outside the hotel."
