"Amazing house in a fantastic location! We stayed four nights over Memorial Day weekend. Our daughter had her wedding on-site and 20 of her and her groom’s friends stayed the weekend. The mid-twenties “kids” had the time of their lives! The expansive and well-appointed kitchen made feeding everyone a breeze. I even catered the wedding-day brunch and reception myself! The property was perfectly laid out for amazing sunset wedding photos."

"Designed perfect for renting. We had 7 adults 5 children of ages 2-10. The layout of the home was perfect for us. Each family had the ability to spread out and have “space”. The basement is alone is perfectly designed as a seperate livable space. Property is quietly situated between two wood lines making for a private feel. Owner, Nick, wonderful to work with and responsive along the way!"

The staff was so friendly and helpful no matter who you spoke to. There is plenty of fun things to do on the property and we can't wait to return and explore it all! "

"This home has everything you could possibly need for a long weekend away, It is peaceful and has beautiful views. We spent the long weekend kayaking and canoeing. Evenings were spent around the large dining room table then relaxing on the dock,deck, or fire pit! The home is situated in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful homes and gardens. We gave this a 5 rating however we wanted to rate it as a 4.5 due to the need for a through cleaning of the outside living areas, mostly the screened in porch. We did a light cleaning of the porch and were still able to enjoy the gas fireplace on the day the weather was questionable. We highly recommend the Life Is Good Lake House and would be happy to return for future getaways! Proximity to was a plus for us as we are from Maryland and our adult children reside in Richmond. PS - the dogs loved watching all the herons and one even paddle boarded for the first time!"
