Perfect stay. Arrived late and slept in a lovely air conditioned room. Breakfast was 5 star fresh fruit yoghurt everything you require. Balcony and views of Trieste across the sea.
This place was amazing. We booked it last minute and wow from the time we walked in the door the first day to the time we left was amazing. People at reception where amazing, room was amazing over looking the ocean and breakfast was perfect every morning!!
Thanks so much we really enjoyed our stay !!!
Great sea view room, with terrace to catch some sun, and sunsets. Front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly. Nice waterfront walk to the Castello Miramare.
The property was OK. The biggest drawback for us was not being able to adjust the room temperature. It was nice being on the ocean. The restaurant was good. That was probably the best part of the hotel. If you are driving parking can be a bit of a bear.
We only got to stay one night but we wished we could have been there longer. It’s a cute quaint hotel that is nicely kept and staff is super nice. Checkin/checkout was easy and they even called a taxi for us. The hotel is right by the water and the Castello del Miramare is with in an 15 min walk. Would definitely recommend and at least more than one night.
Breakfast quite good.
Room temperature was the biggest problem: temperature could not be controlled and it was far too hot (28.5° C). Receptionist said they could not change it, but we could open the door to outside to cool off.
Fortunately, it was cool outside, and the room temperature did come down with an open door for the outside, but one should not have to do that!
Dinner in the Hotels restaurant was surprisingly good.
Getting to it at night was surprisingly difficult, as Google, Waze, and Apple Maps all had the wrong location and without lights on the Hotel advertising it, it was challenging to find.
Nice property and friendly staff, except for the overnight front desk assistant. Keep in mind it is in an isoleted area. Nothing around for a late-night snack or dining options. Lovely for those who appreciate solitude.
Superb staff extremely helpful before I arrived, nothing was to much trouble. Hotel is immaculate all rooms have seaviews over Adriactic sea, 10 min bus ride from town centre bus tickets available from hotel and a mere 200mtr walk to bus stop. Restaurant food was superb and reasonably priced. Please note there are no irons in hotel but do offer a off site laundry and ironing service.

Our room had a gorgeous view, Space around the bed was very limited. The electric plugs were not well situated or were loose in the wall. The hairdryer was unusable due to curly cable which had to be plugged in low down and then did not reach to be able to see a mirror or even sit comfortably to use it. The breakfast had a wide choice of food, but the evening meal menu was just altered once a week and limited.
This property was very nice and clean and the view was amazing. But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. We were there on the off season in October and all local restaurants in area were closed for the season and there was nowhere to eat but the restaurant at hotel. Also, no vending machines or market nearby to grab water/snacks. The only option for water was the minibar in our room. There is a beautiful boardwalk along shoreline across the street from hotel, but it is a good 15-20 minute walk before you get to anywhere.
I loved my stay here at the Hotel Miramare ! The room was very clean and fresh with the bathroom, clean as well. I had a room overlooking the Adriatic with lounge chairs and enjoyed a relaxing ( but cool) evening outdoors.
The restaurant had a very good tapas type menu. I had the baba Ganoush as well as the meatballs and they were wonderful ! Pricing was very good for the food as well as the drinks. The breakfast the next day was amazing with a full continental breakfast including cheese, cured meats, coffee, croissants, etc. While it is a bit outside of Trieste proper, parking was free ( compared to crazy driving and parking in the city ). I would recommend taking the 6 bus into the city as the bus stop is only a short distance away and is only a few Euros. The staff was wonderfully accomodating from the front desk to the wait staff. Very pleasant stay at Hotel Miramare !
