Amazing stay, extraordinary services and accommodation! Serenity and calmness is number one priority for them and surely they deliver!
Great breakfast, superb room and amenities!
People and location are excellent but overall value for money is not great. Restaurants, in particular, are overpriced and lacking in quality. This led us to seek better places to fine in nearby restaurants. Food quality has deteriorated relatively to 2 years ago.
This was a six fay trip for me with the aim of relaxing and recharging and the Romanos luxury hotel was the perfect place to do so. The service from beginning to end was faultless, the room was immaculate with a balcony that gave me the perfect place to view stunning sunsets. As for the food, there were so many choices but all as delicious as each other. I am coming back with my family in august for two and a half weeks and cannot wait. Be it a solo trip or a family one, this is the place to come!
the hotel property and facilities are great, the service over the top. The beds are very hard but they accommodated us with mattress toppers which helped. Only draw back is the wine prices are over the top for what the wines are and i know a profit is needed but not three times the value. A average wine ( by any measure ) costs some 2-300 euros- ridiculous and as well they cannot make a regular alcoholic drink ( as is typical in many European hotels) so just buy beer. Also never saw the tiniest scoop of ice cream for 4.5 euro as if they would go broke from a full scoop. The restaurant food was average in the steak house, very good in italian and lebanese and breakfast buffet is fantastic. The value for the money spent is not as good as in Athens, Mykonons, Santorini or Rhodes but the stay was very nice overall.
I could write many paragraphs on the Romanos but I will stick to the highlights. It is a very good hotel - perhaps not quite exceptional, but very good in many areas. Combined with the Westin it is large - we went late October which was perhaps fractionally late for sunbathing (though it was about 25 degrees between 11-4 so good for lying by the pool or on the beach) - but perfect golfing temperature. The golf is excellent, the tennis set-up is disappointing despite the number of courts. Private lessons are absurdly expensive and they have not managed to create a 'Club' feel at the tennis by organising age group or ability clinics which are so important for kids to make new friends. The dining options are very good and the food is of a high standard (although quite a few restaurants were closed by late Oct which was disappointing). (although quite a few restaurants were closed by late Oct which was disappointing). Unless you rent a car it is pretty difficult to leave the resort and find much cheaper more local tavernas. The place is crazy expensive - €5 for one Karaoke song or €50 for an hour's padel is not going to encourage people to try it with their kids. The golf is crazy expensive but full anyhow and very well laid on across the 4 courses. The buggy system if you have U18s is tiresome - you have to have a buggy but cannot drive it if you are U18 so if 2 kids play you have to have 2 adults driving the buggies (and they charge you for the extra buggy that you do no
Fantastic hotel and location! I have traveled a lot in my life and this is definitely one of the top 3 hotels in the world. Luxurious, elegant, great service, beach, food activities. Everyone should visit!!
The golf courses and staff were world class standard, but the resort, while beautiful, was less than flexible. I injured my foot on the last day of my stay, and I was shocked there was no first aid in my room (which I was told was one of the best rooms in the resort with a private pool), nor within the whole resort. The resort staff referred me to a nearby pharmacy instead, as if no care or concern on their part at all. Felt very disheartened. On check-out, there was a limit on cash payment, up to only 500 Euros, which I was not informed upfront, as I had brought along over 3,000 Euros in cash to spend. Lastly, the quality of the food at the resort restaurants do not match the prices charged. We happily paid to go to nearby towns, including Pylos, to eat there instead.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
