The rooms that are the closest to the kitchen are not quiet in the morning because we can hear the noise coming from it. But the night was very quiet. The room floor was sticky but the mattress was very confortable. The river is nice but you don’t really see it from the room even if you have a "river view" room.

Sitting by the river was a majestic backdrop for relaxing after a long drive. Restaurant was excellent and for us not speaking French they were great

Disappointing Cleanliness and Maintenance Unfortunately, the cleanliness and overall maintenance of this property were far below expectations. The entire building has a greasy feel and smell that’s noticeable as soon as you walk in. The exterior is neglected — dirty walls, spider webs, and piles of old dead leaves everywhere. Inside, the windows haven’t been cleaned in a long time, doors are chipped and in need of repainting, and the corridors are dirty. The carpet is worn, stained, and should be replaced entirely. A deep, thorough cleaning from top to bottom is urgently needed, along with fresh paint and proper upkeep to bring this hotel to a livable standard. Very disappointing experience.

Please use English signage if you want tourists.

Perfectly suited to what we wanted, as we travel to photograph wildlife and are not "into" cities. The only slight issue was that, in Quebec, for political reasons (I can only assume that as every other country in the world uses common sense) signs, including road signs, are not repeated in English. If you have no knowledge of French this can be dangerous in some circumstances, and does not allow compliance with hotel regulations unless there is an English-speaking member of staff present.
