Beautiful hotel beautiful surroundings

What an amazing experience. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us and didn't get to fully experience the island as we wished but prior to booking I was told the bath house was fully booked but when I enquired on arrival it was available! We really enjoyed this experience. Receptionist was lovely and very helpful! Would definitely visit again

Such a lovely cool hotel with fabulous views. Large window in room which was great with the fantastic views. I only stopped one night but would definitely be worth stopping a bit longer to take advantage of what the hotel offers and some of the trips. Very spacious room. Complimentary coffee. Food served all day. Very easy to get to from Tromso, fab journey, great scenery. My trip was April, but would like to return during the winter. Great.

The hospitality felt mediocre. The rooms were worn out.. the food was ok but didn't match the price. Good things were free cancellations on private hot tubs. But they continued to say fully booked when I saw no one using the hot tubs most hours. Without northern lights and during storms, this rental is not entertaining.

Nice Hotel and friendly staff. Experience is definitely weather dependant so check it out before leaving. Not much to do around in winter (3 hours of 'day' light). Recommended, but make sure you check availability of activities beforehand (reservations should be made well in advance). One (big) hour drive drive from Tromso, so make sure you hire a good car and are comfortable driving on icy roads in winter. If you do all the planning in advance and check weather reports, it should be a nice spot for Northern lights. Don't go there for delicate food but they make it up with good local beers (and again, friendly staff).

For breakfast, they're good. For lunch and dinner, they need some variety dishes. Stayed for 2 nights and as they're the only place to eat, they need to have a varied menu. Pizza and burgers aren't going to cut repeat dinners and lunches. It's just a bit too boring and unhealthy.

We recommend staying just for the view and location. The property is located right on the water, and offered incredible sea views with a beach area right next to the cabin. We even saw the most vibrant northern lights right from our balcony! The kitchen is a bit lacking in terms of essentials and the beds are not the most comfortable… but it has the basics for a comfortable stay, and the views and location more than make up for it. Highly recommend.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful — they truly make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Monika is amazing; she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. Beautiful coastal area. Quiet and serene. We were there in the fall to see the Northern Lights and had the most amazing views of them, right from the deck of our cabin. The facilities are welcoming and comfortable and the food was very good.

Hôtel situé à côté d’une plage de sable blanc. Très grande chambre, personnel très accueillant et le restaurant sur place était super. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir. Le parking sur place est gratuit.

Wir hatten ein Lagoon Apartment gebucht, was für den Einstieg in Nordnorwegen toll alle Wünsche deutscher Touristen erfüllt: Schönes Holzhaus mit Veranda und Blick auf das Wasser. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und hatte eine großen Wohn-Essbereich und zwei separate Schlafzimmer. Da es etwas regnerisch war, mussten wir ein gutes Zeitfenster abwarten, um auf den Nordkollen zu klettern. Am Tag der Anreise vorher haben wir bei sehr gutem Wetter die Aussicht von Ornfloya auf Sommaroy genossen. Der Aufstieg auf den Nordkollen ist bei weitem anspruchsvoller vor allem bei nassen Felsen. Bei Aussichten lohnen sich. Die 160 Euro pro Nacht sind vollkommen ok für Norwegen und die Ausstattung. Man könnte zudem noch die Sauna der Anlage kostenlos nutzen, was wir aber nicht gemacht haben.

Sommarøy leverte

Fint rom, oppgradert med balkong og sjøutsikt. Fikk imidlertid ikke til å justere temperaturen ned. Varmt ute og inne. Det har vi forsåvidt opplevd på mange hotell i sommer. God, standard hotellfrokost. Rent og pent. God og ikke spesielt dyr ala carte meny.

Not a good location for midnight sun due to the mountain to the north, which was disappointing because I was under the impression it would be good view. Not good ventilation in my room: hot when sun shines on window and no way to cool down and had campfire smoke smell enter room in middle of night briefly. Scalding hot water which is difficult to regulate. Decent bed.

Oppholdet var greit, men middagen, hovedretten for den som bestilte den (laks) i minste laget. Ble ikke mett. Dette skulle være er bursdagsmiddag for en som var 86 år. Ellers smakte maten godt.
