"This is a charming hotel, the grounds are lovely, the view is magnificent. We had a small refrigerator and microwave which were useful. Only issue was that the room was small and had no closet. But the management (mainly family members) were so responsive and helpful and they went out of their way ..."

Small but safe and quiet. And has gas and groceries right next door so you have everything you need.

Visitors should know the entire town closes in winter with the exception of 1-2 hotels and 1 or 2 restaurants, depending on the weekend. It’s much lovelier than Bryce Cyn City but sleepier too.

Tropic is a small town located around several attractions in the canyonlands. It shuts down in the off season, but there is a small grocery store, and restaurant. Take off to Bryce, Kodachrome Basin, or several other sites.
