"The house was as expected and worked out well. The screened in porch was very cozy. We spent time at the creek with our dogs, made a fire for some s'mores. The location was nice for walking. We walked to the Sunflower field down the road and cut some. We visited Colton Point State Park twice, nice walks. The house was clean and nice decorated. We did one of the puzzles that was there. We packed lots of food, so dining out wasn't necessary, but there were options. Definitely would stay again."

"Very quiet, great breakfast, Lovely property and great staff. What I didn't like was EXPEDIA leading me on by asking for my credit card at the time of booking. Silly me, I thought I was paying for my stay, as I seldom use that card, I knew I had enough to pay for the room, and thought that's what I was doing. NOT THE CASE. So I had to scramble at check-in because I owed $482.00 the regular room rate rather than the deal I thought I HAD gotten using Expedia. NOT a happy camper was I. Thank you very much."

"Lovely secluded property if that's what you're looking for-the train adds charm. Conveniently located next to a little market that has something for everyone whether you want to cook or not. 20 minutes from Addison/Corning/Woodhull where there are cute local spots to check out.The house has all the creature comforts you could want-we were there during a heat wave and the host had the AC cranked for us when we arrived. If you're traveling with multiple adults I would suggest bringing an air mattress or two as some of the beds are small for two! The living areas are spacious enough to not feel overcrowded if your bunking in. The pool was fantastic - sparkling and inviting. Plenty of floats/arm floaties for kids. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor seating. Our small family gathering turned into about 30 people and there was plenty of room for everyone! We didn't use the lawn above the house but the fire pit, volley ball net and horse shoe pit were ready to go and the host provides everything for a fun yard game."
