"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"The house is kept beautifully clean. Views from it are mind blowingly fabulous. Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am always hesitant to stay away from home due to cleanliness but the cottage was so lovely and clean. It had everything that we needed and was a short and lovely walk into the centre. The patio backs right onto the river which was such a lovely surprise. We stayed a couple of weeks before Christmas and the price was amazing."

"Robes in the room ridiculously small. I am petite and only just tied around me so useless for my husband. Terrace bar and restaurant very nice Bathroom too small for the room and a normal sized person. Hot tub lovely. Pub….smelt of chlorine and would not go for a drink. It’s not a pub so should not be advertised as one. Room very clean. Did not need towels changing every day. Seemed like a waste. Very good cocktails! More like a 4 star than 5 star hotel. Enjoyed our stay but not sure we would return. "
