Welcome to Moose Tracks, located in Troy, Montana, northwest corner of beautiful Montana. We are located 4 miles west of Troy where you will find peace and quiet. The closest airports are Spokane, Washington 142 miles away and Kalispell, Montana 107 miles.

You will find 1 queen bed, 1 bunk with twin on top and full on bottom and one full size futon, will sleep 7. Kitchen equipped with dishes, pots and pans, everything to make your stay enjoyable. All towels and bedding are supplied. There are 2 sets of steps to the rental.

Only 60 feet to the beautiful Kootenai River where you can fish, put your boat in or just enjoy the beautiful river and mountains. There are many lakes in the area.

Troy to Glacier Park 139 miles

Troy to the Canadian Border - 41 miles (remember you will need a passport to get back into the United States.

We were only staying here to view properties to buy in Troy. It was perfect for what we needed it for as we were busy all weekend. Great place to finish out the day and relax. Neighbors were also very friendly. The queen bed was a bit uncomfortable (hard), but other than that it was worth it.

Nice stay with a couple caveats
We have visited the Yaak for 14 years. We had a group of 7 for this trip so our options were limited for cabins. We booked this place because the map in VRBO showed it about 6 miles up Yaak River Road where we have always stayed and where our other friends cabin rental was. After booking and paying, we found out from the host that the rental was actually 4 miles from Troy. That left us nearly 25 miles from our friends and from the area that we wanted to be in. So that was unfortunate. It a is an overall nice little cabin that sits above a garage. The space is good for 7 people. The bunk bed is a bit rickety so it’s best for small framed people. The kitchen is equipped but we still brought a lot of our own kitchen items for our week stay. There is a nice little boat launch area to swim and fish from just nearby. That was really nice. The space was clean although it needs to bug bombed because we killed about 15 spiders indoors. AC works well. The host was friendly and responsive.

Excellent VRBO (one downside)
The location of the property was amazing and super unique, the only issue we ran into was there’s no phone service and at the time when we arrived there was no Wi-Fi due to it being a rural area. Wifi did become available but not Until the next day. The first night was a struggle and will no service it can make you feel uneasy to contact anyone. There are also not many options for entertainment in regards to movies for the older TV. The location itself and the overall stay was amazing other than this one downside.

Close to the town of Troy Perfect for what we needed Loved being close to the river Train noise at night was a problem but the air conditioner and fan drowned it out Otherwise listening to Trains during the day was nice
