"This is a good hotel with nice staff that will go above and beyond in order to give you a pleasant stay. We liked that they had a bar, as well as breakfast. Comfy beds! "

"The farmhouse that we stayed in was clean and beautifully decorated throughout with chicken and farm themes. The doilies and other touches made it feel like old times on a farm. We watched farm animals and farm activities. We relaxed, read books, roamed the farm, and enjoyed nightime firefly shows.The kitchen offered lots of snacks, fruit and freshly laid eggs. We barbecued ribeye steak (from The Hen House's own cow) on the grill. This was a perfect place to stay while in Indianola for the Des Moines opera season. We look forward to staying at The Hen House again next year."
