Location for us was great as it was close to the airport and the conference facility. However, it is far from Freetown (2h each way). Rooms are very smelly and moldy which made me sick. I had no hot water for 3 days. I complained about it, but to no avail. I ended up moving my flight and leaving one day early because I could not stay there any longer, being worried about the impact of the mold on my health. I did not get reimbursed for my last night. Luckily the hotel had a restaurant and bar, where we stayed most of our free time to be out of our bedrooms.

Coming back to Sierra Leone from Accra and decided to stay an evening before crossing back to Freetown. The staff were very helpful and hospitable and the food in the restaurant and lounge was also very good.

What I disliked: The room smelled like moisture. There were no luggage racks. There were mosquitoes in the bedroom. The food at the restaurant was not good. They should charge USD $60 a night maximum including taxes. What I appreciated; Even though not all the staff speaks English well, they were trying hard, and the airport shuttle was very convenient.

Staff wasn’t particularly unfriendly, but not very friendly and helpful. I was denied food because my room number was not on some list until the receptionist intervened and allowed me to get something from the restaurant, which served cold plasas for 250 NLe 💸 I asked if I could pay using USD and they said yes, but wouldn’t give me my change in the restaurant, they said they would bring my change to my room, which they never did. Other than the restaurant troubles the place was nice, clean, comfortable, and had amenities such as running (& hot) water, ac, and stable electricity.
