Nicely walkable both ways and close to the aquarium too - although the wooden decking of the walking area going towards the briddge was rickety and starting to break! Suggestion - There was no native plantings of pollinator plants around the hotel for landscaping - it would be so easy to do and beautiful. Native species are so much better."

"The staff at the front desk were amazing! We arrived exhausted and more than frazzled around 10PM after an important suitcase was lost on its way from the Amsterdam. The front desk clerk was so very kind and sweet, and empathetic that I couldn’t help but disclose that 27 years ago our honeymoon had begun here, in Lisbon, just a day earlier. She was visibly moved and dropped everything to find a way to help us mark the occasion and cheer us up. She represented us with a collection of tiny (mini bar edition!) bottles of port and a huge smile helping us forget the previous three hours. The restaurant made for a lovely surprise, too, with a vast selection of starters, warm dishes, fruit and dessert where the wait staff graciously attended to us late into the night. Thank you! "
