Walking distance to the big carrot playground and into town for restaurants, bakery etc. 25 min up to Turoa and less than an hour to whakapapa. The chalets are easily heated, cosy and well maintained. "

"We’ve stayed here on a few occasions and been lucky enough to get the same room with incredible mountain view each time (king studio with ensuite). We think this accommodation is excellent value and having 2 spa pools and a sauna is a lovely bonus at the end of a day at the mountain or doing outdoor pursuits. Can easily walk to Main Street for shops, eateries and coffee etc. will always return. Thanks for another great stay. "

"Despite an unprepossessing exterior, the unit was wood panelled inside, and was cosy. The living area was large and it was quiet, being located away from the main road. The stairs to the bedrooms were a bit narrow and creaky, but we had a comfortable sleep. Enjoyed our stay."

"This motel was nice and quiet. I was there in the ‘off’ season for skiing but it was great for getting some spring time hikes in. Great location for hiking to Waitonga Falls and also being able to walk to the town of Ohakune. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"We stayed 2 nights in the ‘deluxe’ double room No 4 directly behind reception. The self check-in process was very easy to use. I suspect like everyone else we were there to do the Alpine Crossing. So in that context it suited us fine, only a few minutes drive to the pickup point. The room was en-suite, the shower was okay once it warmed up and it had a decent TV with a range of channels. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall very good value."

"Check in was via a text to obtain the key from the lock box as the reception was closed, it was perfectly fine access was easy, place was clean and it is so centrally located to the town we were pleasantly suprised."
