"The problem with Abilene is that a railroad goes through the middle of town, which across the street from the motel. The entrance to the motel is open, so anyone could walk in. Fortunately, I didn’t have any problems. The room smelled like smoke. There was an ashtray in the room. I did have a good nights sleep. "

"We stayed for one night passing through. The house was clean, stocked and very comfortable! If we pass through Abilene another time, we’d stay here again!"

"If you like to be surrounded by wood, this is your place. We felt like we were in a mountain cabin, yet we were in the middle of the city. Everything worked great especially the air conditioner!! Decor was really interesting and was fun to investigate. We like to cook and it had everything we needed for a nice meal. Location was perfect near the college and the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Abilene."

"We were in town to visit our daughter in college and extended family. The property was just what we needed. We had one minor issue that the owner addressed right away. My only recommendation would be to have a broom and dust pan available. Our youngest isn’t the neatest eater and a broom would have been helpful to clean up after her. 😀"

"The property is located so close to downtown and all the fun things. We had events at The Ice House and Convention Center and easily walked to them. The walk at night is a bit sketchy. We love everything about this little cottage except the bathroom. It sleeps 10, so if it had been more than my husband and I - that would be hard. The shower is terrible - it’s a cute tub but showering in it is like having 5-6 white sheets clinging to you at all times. I fought my way through it! Lol! We will stay...
