"The Ocean was only a few feet from our hotel. so that was really nice. the staff were exceptional, the room was clean but it didn't have room service daily. the towels were the only thing i would give a small mark down for. other than that I have recommended this place to my family and friends"

"I chose this hotel, a lot of reviews from so many because of the pictures on the website. The room was spacious, and staying high above Catalina to look over the beautiful water and the city lights at night was definitely 5-Star. It was a very nice continental breakfast provided of eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and muffins or toast. Fresh coffee and orange juice and a nice dining space with seating on an outdoor patio over the canyon view was very lovely. The shuttle drivers were very friendly as was the manager in front office. The breakfast staff were extraordinarily kind. The lodging was comfortable and the tile in the bathrooms was beautiful and updated. My only suggestion is the poolside furniture is not at all what it look like in the pictures on the website. My suggestion would be to upgrade the patio furniture around the pool again as it may have become dated and worn out, there should be nice furniture on the deck on top looking over the whole city, which was an amazing view. I wish the fire pit and the outdoor lights had been lit on a Monday night Sunday night just for ambience. But it was a very easy walk into town and a shuttle is not needed but nice going up the hill as they bring your baggage with courtesy pick up and drop off to the Catalina ferry. Overall, our stay was positive and I would recommend staying here again."
