Overall great. Right on lake Michigan. The landscaping (flower beds) all around the building were especially wonderful and very well kept! Makes time spent on the lakeside part of the property so refreshing & therapeutic!

The property is older but well maintained. We appreciated the wonderful sit-down breakfast options and dinner overlooking the lake. There was a bad smell in the first floor hallway. Dead rodent? It was strong enough that it interfered with our visit.

Room was clean and spacious. Coupons for breakfast in the restaurant are an added bonus. I have stayed here many times because it is a close getaway for me and I love being able to have a Lakeview any time of year. Bed was comfortable. The only complaint that I have is that the pillows in my room were a little flat. Would like to see some firmer pillows. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with reasonable rates!

Older hotel, needs a few upgrades, but the rooms were clean and you get a voucher for breakfast off a menu which was excellent. The staff is really gracious and will do anything for ya. Pool was warm and hot tub was hot. We had the lakeshore room and we left the window open and the waves on the beach were great to fall asleep too. Like I said it needs some upgrades but is a fair price for right on the beach. And I should add has its own beach access so there is an about a mile of beach to walk.

The front desk person was friendly at check in, and it was a very quiet stay. The hotel was clean. Built in 1973 and pretty sure alot is original....mattress included. It is actually on the water and we could see it from our window. It was not a comfortable stay (mattress definitely needed replaced and the chairs to sit on were wood with no padding) and the breakfast was just ok at best.

The breakfast was top notch. They prepared a fresh meal not the usual scrambled eggs or waffles. It is not the most modern hotel but I would stay here again. It was also nice to have an on site restaurant and bar.

You can walk the beach for quite a ways.
The Hotel is right on the Lake Michigan shore.
The pelicans are fun to watch from the beach, the restaurant or the room.
