Unique Home on Back River | Private Dock + Stunning Sunsets | Tybee Cottages

Host your family of 10 in one of Tybee Island's best beach houses on Tybee's Back River. Enter the home on the second floor and into the bright, sunny living area. With French doors that open to the wrap-around porch, guests will enjoy lounging with a Summer breeze after a long day at the beach.

The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for entertaining; guests can enjoy a cocktail at the island counter while you prep snacks for the beach. Everything you need to prepare a full meal includes an electric range and stove, a full fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, and ample storage space. A half bath is just beneath the stairs.

Upstairs, you'll find three bedrooms and an additional semi-private lofted bedroom. The first bedroom has a King-size bed with an en suite bath, a tub, and a separate shower. The second and third bedrooms (first with King, second with Full, and Twin Bunk with Twin Trundle) share a jack and jill bath with a double vanity and standing shower. On the third level, an open loft space offers a Queen bed with a Twin trundle. The loft has a private balcony overlooking Tybee Creek.

A full bath (with a separate shower) and an outdoor kitchenette are available on the ground floor. Guests are welcome to use any water sports equipment in the garage. The private dock is accessible through the rear of the house and leads to a covered patio with a table and chairs. Turn on the string lights at night for a magical evening under the stars. Kayak rentals are available at AJ's two doors down. While situated on Tybee Creek, guests are only a short ride away from local beach access.

Awesome location, great family home

Lovely decorated beach home that was just what my family needed. Lots of fishing opportunities to fish on the private dock. Super quick drive to the beach, or a nice leisurely walk if weather permits. Great location and neighborhood! Super communication from home management. We all loved our stay.

Beautiful sunsets

There were 5 of us, myself and my 2 sisters and their husbands. The first thing you saw when you walked in was the beautiful back river water and dock. You could see this whenever in kitchen, dining room and living room. The rooms were all adequate and comfortable. We spent a lot of time sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch enjoying the water. We loved the dock, part of which is covered and had couches and rocking chairs. One of my sisters and I spent a lot of time reading there. We rented a golf cart which made it easy to get Tybee and not have to worry about parking. We grew up on Tybee in the 50's and 60's. We have been coming back for vacations quite frequently for the last 15 years. We will definitely be back.

Perfect - we were planning our next stay here the first night!

Our party consisted of my husband and me, my daughter and her husband and 3 & 6 year old sons, another adult daughter and a teenage granddaughter. We all loved it. The home is beautifully decorated with Blue Willow china accents throughout. My husband even commented on how well it's decorated. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. There are wrap-around porches with rocking chairs and a porch swing - which I don't recall being mentioned in the on-line summary. The dock is the crown jewel! Besides the sunset, you'll enjoy dolphin watching and fishing. Couldn't have been better!

Great family experience

Perfect location for a family gathering. Plenty of space seating on the dock is a great place to relax only downside was the condition of outdoor furniture cushions

This property is the total package!

We spent a long weekend at Beach Music for my mother's 75th birthday and everyone had a wonderful time. There was something for everyone, including board games, TVs and a ping pong table for the kids. The adults enjoyed the well-appointed porches with stunning views and everyone found the home to be equipped with everything we could need to cook, eat and celebrate. We can't wait to go back to this wonderful property!

The home is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable - everything we could ask for. Watching the sunrise and sunsets from the dock everyday was incredible. It seemed like we saw pods of dolphins swim by every time we were out there! Conveniently located to everything on Tybee, it was really a perfect location. Very clean. Lucky team was readily available when we had questions. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to be back soon!

Wonderful Small Family Reunion

It was nice to be away from the crowds and heat of Savannah and the house is truly an "escape". It is so charming! We ate at AJ's - about three houses down one evening - get there very early for large parties and the food was good especially for a beach/bar atmosphere. We used the kayaks and paddle boards a couple of times which really made it fun for us too. From the back deck we saw loggerhead turtles in the water and an occasional dolphin!

FAILURE TO RETURN BOTH MY EMAILS AND CALLS LEFT US CONFUSED. AFTER ARRIVING, AND TAKING OUT THE FIRST COUPLE OF BAGS OF GARBAGE THE NEXT DAY WE REALIZED THE GARBAGE RECEPTACLE IN THE FRONT CORNER WAS NOT OURS, IT WAS IN FACT OUR NEIGHBORS. MY WIFE CALLED THE RENTAL COMPANY, THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET RIGHT BACK TO US WITH A SOLUTION. I CALLED THEM BACK, WOMAN SEEMED CONFUSED ON WHAT TO DO, NEVER GOT BACK. 3 DAYS LATER ,TIME TO LEAVE, HAD PUT 9 GARBAGE BAGS IN GARAGE, CALLED RENTAL CO AGAIN. TOLD THEM A COUPLE OF CRITTERS HAD GOTTEN INTO THE BAGS AND MADE A MESS- HAD TO CLEAN THAT UP AND REBAG EVERYTHING, SOMETHING I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH DURING CHECKOUT MORNING.WILL NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. HOUSE IS OLD BUT BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED. VIEW FROM DOCK IS WONDERFUL, LOCATION IS GOOD. FOOD FROM AJ DOCKSIDE IS EXCELLENT, WOULD I COME BACK, PROBABLY NOT.

Very relaxing, kitchen and dining area accommodated the whole family, professionally decorated. Parking costs at the beaches and in Savannah is not cheap. Would go back in a heartbeat.
