Cabin By The Falls (@cabinbythefalls) sits on 40 private acres adjacent to the National Forest with the Tye River flowing through the front yard. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a PRIVATE heated (if requested) saltwater swimming pool, 4 Hi Def Smart TVs, cable, high speed internet, super comfortable beds (including 2 Tempurpedic Kings), big kitchen (suited for professional chef), dining and entertainment areas (inside and out). Also, this home is professionally furnished and decorated and fully stocked with items only a “super host” would provide. Please feel free to ask questions and make special requests. It is our aim to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible!

*Pool is closed through Winter.

*When the pool is open (Spring - Fall), it can be heated for an additional fee.

AMAZING Property!

Truly one of the most uniquley beautiful places we've ever stayed! The cabin was the perfect combination--modern and updated with amazing rustic bones. The beautiful front yard creek was the perfect source of all-day entertainment for our kids, while also a source of beauty and relaxation for us adults. Can't wait to return!

Perfect getaway!

We loved at our time here so much that we have decided to make this a yearly tradition. From the private wooded property, and relaxing sound of the waterfalls, to the spacious well-designed cabin, everything was perfect. The pool and hot tub gave us even more reason to not want to leave. Can’t recommend it enough and Elliott was wonderful!

The Cabin by the Falls was perfect for a long weekend get away for our family. The pool, hot tub and river on the grounds kept us happy and busy.

Beautiful riverside cabin

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. The property is stunning and peaceful. Using the heated pool and hot tub in the fall surrounded by such an amazing landscape was amazing. Plenty of activities with the falls and so many wineries/breweries close by. We couldn’t have asked for better communication and check in was easy. We will definitely be booking again!!

Mountain retreat

Our family had a great visit to Cabin by the Falls. The home was spacious and comfortable with room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed to prepare meals. The outdoor areas included an amazing salt water pool (which we paid to heat and would recommend) and wonderful places to sit and relax by the flowing river. There was also a very nice fire pit area. We have been home only a few days and are ready to go back.

We had a group of five of us this past weekend and this stay exceeded our expectations - the grounds were beautiful and the creek was so refreshing and hearing the low rush of the falls constantly made the stay even more relaxing and peaceful!The house was beautiful and clean - we all had a great time and are looking forward to returning soon!!

Totally worth it. If you want to be in the great outdoors, this is the place for you. If you want to be in the middle of the woods but you don't walk there. This is the place for you. The "middle of the woods" is just steps away from a very comfortable, updated and well-appointed house. (This is NOT your grandfather's cabin) The landscape architecture beautifully complements the natural beauty of the forest-very very well done. The property manager is awesome, very courteous. We'll be back every year.

Peaceful weekend

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in the cabin. We loved the peace and quiet of the location and enjoyed several bike rides on a nearby gravel trail and hikes on the Appalachian Trail and Crabtree Falls. It was the perfect escape for a great family weekend.

Great disconnect getaway!

Took my wife away for a weekend to relax and disconnect. This mountain home was perfect. Very clean and well decorated. It was nice relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the view of the stars and wine by the fireplace. It was a little too cold to relax by the river, but the views were amazing. We will definitely be back in the summer. We did not want to leave. Elliot was very responsive , accommodating and easy to reach.

Idyllic cabin in beautiful setting

We looked everywhere from ME to SC before finally discovering this gem of a house just 3 hours away from us in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We were two families - two couples, with 4 teens aged 14-17. The house is very much as pictured--beautiful log cabin, clean, unfussy modern furniture, and well-appointed kitchen. There are 4 bedrooms --one very large and glorious master upstairs with en suite bathroom and a beautiful large deck off it, and three bedrooms on main level with two additional full baths. You need to walk through one bedroom to get to the back bedroom (and full bath), but it's also accessible by going outside the house if someone is sleeping. The house was very clean, with nice bedding, new pillows, and decor in line with the surroundings. Off the other downstairs bedroom, there is another deck with a very clean and easy to use hot tub and a large outdoor table for eating. The kitchen is clean and open, with a nice fridge, and (yet another!) lovely deck off of it overlooking the river and pool. The Tye River is right in front of the house -- completely private riverfront, with lots of nooks and crannies (lounge chairs, bistro table, hammocks) to bring a book and read or relax with coffee. The sound of the river is soothing. The pool is lovely and clean, with modern furniture all around. There is a gazebo with some workout equipment, where we stored our bikes when it rained. The house had excellent pots and pans, good spice selection, lots of hand soap, and gas burners. Good coffee maker with nice touches like plenty of filters. The owner was very responsive and thoughtful, leaving us a beautiful bottle of wine on arrival. They are building a little deck by the river that looks like it will be lovely. Crab Tree Falls hike is 1.5 miles down the road. We did it once with the crowds, and once as we should have -- at 7am -- didn't see a soul! Lots of nearby incredible hikes -- Spy Rock, Humpback Mountain, the Priest, St. Mary's Wilderness, Wintergreen. We only made it to Bold Rock Cidery but there are tons of other wineries and breweries nearby. Montebello has a little general store just a couple miles up the road. The nights were nice and cool, and the days were perfect for hiking or swimming. Good AC, beautiful new windows with screens, and clean, fresh-tasting tap water. We feel lucky we found this gem!

Wonderful cabin and WATERFALLS!

Our family had a fantastic visit to the Waterfall Cabin!! The location is so magical, peaceful, and private! The sight and sound of the rushing water just outside the door does not disappoint. And the stars at night are just gorgeous with no city lights around - an especially lovely view from the hot tub. We arrived to find the river beautifully iced over, frozen icicles and interesting ice formations everywhere. As the weather warmed, we saw it melt a little each day. The cabin was very nice and very clean. Elliott was an awesome host, providing everything we needed with efficient and clear communication. The remoteness is wonderful - just makes sure to plan for it. There is a nearby mountain store, but quite a distance to any other grocery stores or restaurants. We brought a casserole and warmed it in the oven as we settled in for our first night there. We also explored Crabtree Falls and made a trip into Staunton for the day for shopping, restaurants, and a play at the American Shakespeare Theater, which we loved! Over all, a fantastic stay! We would love to go back to experience this property in every season!

Happy Thanksgiving

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving break at the Waterfall Cabin. The house is clean and cozy, and the outside area with the path along the river is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect place to hang out and reconnect with the family.

Beautiful house and property

Our stay at Elliott’s cabin was amazing. The property is beautiful and the house was even better than we imagined! We opted to have the pool heated and it was absolutely worth it. Elliott was a great host - very responsive and accommodating. I definitely recommend booking!!

Amazing!!

The home and property were so beautiful and peaceful. It was the most restorative vacation I've had in a long time. Our highlights were the salt water pool - we did pay to have it heated and it was the right choice - and all of the chairs near the river making it easy to sit in or near. For awareness, one of the bedrooms requires you to walk through it to get to another, and that walk through is required to get to the bathroom. It worked for us but might be awkward if you have 4 couples in the house. And for our older parents, it was a little tough that there were no handrails on the steps outside the house. I did love the whole experience and would stay again if I had the chance. It was a very special experience.

Blissful

I was looking for a weekend getaway to unwind, unplug and rejuvenate. This cabin was simply awesome, serene, blissful and more! Will rent this cabin again for a longer stay. Also, the host was very kind, prompt, accommodating and provided clear instructions to access and use all amenities.
